Is it a case of “Father Knows Best” in the first season of the Superman & Lois TV show on The CW? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Superman & Lois is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Superman & Lois here. *Status Update Below.
A CW superhero series, the Superman & Lois TV show stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Dylan Walsh, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. After years of facing maniacal supervillains, monsters, and alien invaders, the world’s most famous superhero, Superman aka Clark Kent (Hoechlin), and his award-winning journalist wife, Lois Lane (Tulloch), have gotten married and are now working parents, raising two teen boys. In addition to the usual trials and tribulations of being parents, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Elsass) and Jordan (Garfin) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Clark’s hometown of Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Chriqui), Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing (Valdez). The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah (Navarrette). Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Walsh), looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of the Superman & Lois TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Do you think that Superman & Lois should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on The CW? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*3/3/21 update: Superman & Lois has been renewed for a second season.
Mom and I both love this show. Believable characters and great story line.
May be great in the USA but not seen in the U.K. however nothing can be as good as the Americans, 24 , or homeland.
The thing that makes this Superman series stand out above all the many others that have been done is that Lois, Clark and their sons are presented as an average American family with the same loves, disappointments, problems and hurts as the rest of us. And what reinforces this image is the fact that neither this Superman or Lois are impossibly beautiful or handsome. Lois, and Superman as Clark Kent, really do look like average, normal people. Same with the boys. I’m enjoying all the action, but I’m also enjoying the humanizing family drama.
Great show keep it coming love it
Great show/series, super characters and family! Keep’em coming! 🙂
Stupid show. Don’t like it at all!
Still waiting for any challenge to 24 or homeland or Americans or big sky! Any suggestions please
Great show – like the family theme along with the Superman things going on. Last night’s issue where Superman concedes to his brother was not a good one. Can’t help but think he would hide the family & then go after the bad brother. Gonna be hard to watch Superman as bad guy.
I have read all the comments and apparently everybody must be the younger generation. I’m a superman superfan but IMO this Superman and Lois is the worst ever. I don’t like the person they have for Superman he is so skinny. He doesn’t look like a Superman. I don’t like the wife either. Wrong people playing the part. The kids OMG what is wrong with young people today they are so rude obnoxious and disrespectful especially to their parents and older adults.
There’s othing in the shows that are happy like or fun. They are all so serious and boring.
Agreed with “Superfan” comments. I am back in CW for now.
I enjoyed episodes 1-4, then when the show came back after it’s COVID-19 problem, it seem to lose a lot of its steam. Too much family drama and not enough Superman drama.
Pretty good and I love the setting,as long as there isn’t a crossover it’ll be fine
well done
Super!
A lot of people are still leery of CW injecting unwanted social and political content, or just plain bad writing (that mostly since Batwoman came along), but none of this has been the case with Superman and Lois thus far. If they stay the course, this could become the new flagship series to take Arrow’s place and course-correct what’s gone sideways with some of the other Arrowverse entries.
Agreed. This is the best DC show to air on the CW since Arrow & Flash. I was getting worried about where they could go after Batwoman. I honestly think Swamp Thing could do better than most of the other DC shows on CW if it were given a season 2. I know it was cancelled b4 it even left DC Universe & b4 we ever knew it’d go to the CW, but it really could be better than most of the content on the network.
I agree I really liked Swamp Thing, wish it had been given more time!
Not so super
