The L Word aired for six seasons on Showtime, and there is a chance that fans could see Ilene Chaiken reboot the popular series. Right now, she is working on FOX’s Empire.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chaiken talked about the potential reboot, and she seemed to be excited about the possibility.

She said:

“I would love to revisit the L Word. We talk about it from time to time. I talk about it with some of my colleagues who were in the cast who would love to reboot it. I don’t know when. I’m busy and most of them are too, but I do still think that it’s a viable world in which to tell stories, and those characters are still beloved as far as I can tell.”

She also teased the possibility of one of the characters from The L Word popping up on Empire. She would love to have Shane, played by Katherine Moennig on the Showtime series, come and “hang” on Empire.
