What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Rookie TV show stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin Jr., Melissa O’Neil, and Eric Winter. The series follows the experiences of John Nolan (Fillion), a middle-aged divorced man from Pennsylvania. He owns a construction company but decides to give up his old life to pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. He graduates from the Police Academy and becomes the oldest rookie on the force. He works with Sergeant Wade Grey (Jones), training officers Angela Lopez (Diaz) and Tim Bradford (Winter), and fellow rookies Jackson West (Makin Jr.) and Lucy Chen (O’Neil). As season three begins, John nears the end of his training and must come to terms with the choices he made in pursuit of the truth.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of The Rookie averaged a 0.49 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.73 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 24% in the demo and down by 14% in viewership. Find out how The Rookie stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Will ABC cancel or renew The Rookie for season four? Though viewership isn’t great, I can’t see the network canceling this drama series at this point. I’m sure it will be renewed. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free alerts on The Rookie cancellation or renewal news.

I hope it doesn’t cancel. It’s one of the few shows I watch. There really isn’t much on tv anymore that’s worth watching. This show is one that is worth watching.

I love Nation but he lost too much weight. Awful haircut. He has wrincles. Needs to go back to looking like Castle which I watch on Sat He Looks AWESOME . PLEASE DO SOMETHING
They shouldn’t cancel it its not fair we can’t watch it when ABC is no longer on dish and don’t have another way of watching it
Rookie is a very good show. Please don’t cancel it.. Maybe put it in a better time slot.
I really like the show. The main character is very likeable and humerous. I enjoy the other characters also. Story lines interesting.

I really loved castle with Nathan in it, so it was an easy decision to watch the rookie. I absolutely love this show and can’t wait for each week to come so I can see the next episode. Hope it runs as long and even longer than castle did!
People should watch this show I originally didn’t but watched on Netflix it was great not what I expected

I really enjoy the Rookie and hope it carried on for several seasons. I was really disappointed when the Deputy was not renewed I would love to see it back on
Please renew as this is one of our favorites too! Everytime I find a show I really enjoy , it’s canceled, or at least it seems that way! This is a great cast with loads of chemistry and a really great storyline. It is a definite winner!
I didn’t even know the series was renewed for a third season-I was completely, but pleasantly surprised to find it was still on. I would put back together with The Good Doctor-it was a great night of TV-please renew for a fourth
