American Ninja Warrior is back in action. Recently, NBC announced filming will soon begin on the TV series’ upcoming 10th season and a celebrity edition.
The competion show follows competitors in series of obstacle courses in both city qualifying and city finals rounds. Contestants who complete the finals course in their area move on to the national finals round.
Although NBC has not officially announced a season 10 renewal for American Ninja Warrior, the show has just announced its filming dates and locations for the new season. Production on season 10 begins March 6th in Los Angeles and on March 8th, they will be taping a special featuring eight celebrities “attempting to make a run on the famous course.”
Additionally, an American Ninja Warrior special is set to debut on NBC on March 11th at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

Four teams from North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia will battle on the tough four-stage national finals course featured in “American Ninja Warrior.” Contestants compete in a head-to-head format that pits members from each team against one another. The wait is over! American Ninja Warrior’s locations and dates for season 10 have been announced!
Los Angeles, CA: Universal Studios back lot, March 6-7
Dallas, Texas: Fair Park, March 25-26
Miami, Florida: Bayfront Park, April 13-14
Indianapolis, Indiana: Monument Circle, April 29-30
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Richmond Power Plant, May 11-12
Minneapolis, Minnesota: US Bank Stadium, May 25-26
Each of these cities will host a City Qualifiers and a City Finals. From there, the best of the best Ninjas will continue on to the National Finals. Only Minneapolis is new to the Ninja Warrior game this season. The other five locations have all previously hosted the competition.

NBC’s American Ninja Warrior is traveling the country again to find the best athletes to compete for the coveted title of American Ninja Warrior and the $500,000 grand prize…and you can see the action live!
The show is taping its FIRST episodes for the new season next week; Tuesday, March 6th, Wednesday, March 7th and Thursday, March 8th! The show is designing a VERY special set at NBC Universal Studios in Studio City, California. The minimum age to attend is 12 and tickets are free, but space is limited. Also, please keep in mind that we have to shoot the show at night and the set is outside, so the tapings are OVERNIGHT.
On March 6th and 7th we are taping all the regional contestants and on March 8th we are taping the celebrity edition which will feature 8 celebrities attempting to make a run on the famous course. We’re not allowed to announce the incredible list of celebrities as it’s a HUGE surprise.”
