Welcome to Castle Rock. Entertainment Weekly reports Stephen King and J.J. Abrams are teaming back up for a new Hulu project.
The two previously collaborated on the original Hulu series 11.22.63. Based on King’s novel of the same name, the drama follows an ordinary and recently-divorced high school teacher, Jake Epping (James Franco), who is presented with the unbelievable mission of traveling back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The show debuted in February 2016.
Though not much is known about Castle Rock, the title does derive from King’s work. Castle Rock is the fictional Maine two where several of his novels like Cujo and Needful Things are set. It’s still unclear if the mysterious project will be a TV series, a mini-series, or a movie.
