BRAVO MEDIA GREENLIGHTS DESIGN COMPETITION SERIES “CYRUS VS. CYRUS” (WT) WITH TISH AND BRANDI CYRUS
NEW YORK – October 10, 2016 – Bravo Media has greenlit the new original design series “Cyrus vs. Cyrus” (WT), where Tish Cyrus and her daughter, Brandi Cyrus, propose competing interior design ideas to Nashville-based clients, it was announced today by Lara Spotts, SVP of Development, Bravo Media. The series will begin production immediately and is set to premiere in 2017.
“Tish and Brandi have a wonderful, funny, modern mother-daughter relationship which is completely relatable,” says Spotts. “They are equally talented designers, but with very different aesthetics, and watching them transform one home a week will be almost as entertaining as the antics that ensue along the way.”
After years of perfecting their passion for décor in their own homes, Tish and Brandi are taking their talents to the streets of Nashville to share their skills with friends and word-of-mouth clients. Each 30-minute episode starts out with mother and daughter as they present opposing renovation plans for rooms that are in design distress.
The owners are forced to choose between the differing styles, leaving the winning designer’s concept to be executed in its entirety. The losing Cyrus must bite their tongue and swallow their pride to act as the other’s assistant and work together in order to make the winning vision become a reality. From complimentary colors to contrasting personalities, this dynamic dream team quickly learns that all is fair in love and design.
“Cyrus v. Cyrus” is produced by Asylum Entertainment in association with Hope Town Entertainment with Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch and Tish Cyrus serving as Executive Producers.
What do you think? Do you like the sound of the Cyrus vs. Cyrus TV series? Do you plan to check out the first season on Bravo?
I will admit a few design ideas are nice…but… most are one dimensional (especially the wall art) and some design is somewhat 2nd rate. The furniture is placed so tightly on June 8 episode that there’s no way people can sit much less cross legs or move freely. These seem like sweet women but not ready for television. Don’t see this series lasting long, but if it does…oh no.
I was excited to see the show until I realized that they’re part of the Billy Ray, Miley clan. How annoying? And their tastes are terrible. Who says they’re designers? Them?
