Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing premiere in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for most of May sweeps. Before the show returned on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the TV show. Only eight episodes were filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC pulled the show off the air once again and left fans hanging as to when the final two episodes would air. Well, the network has released both episodes and you can watch them below.
What do you think? Are you in any way satisfied by these final two episodes?

I am just beside myself with frustration over how programming is handled these days! Especially on shows that are designed to be a limited run. Why even tease us with the possibilty of something intriguing. Who makes these decisions? Somebody needs to start taking some chances because you aren’t going to reel me in with a weekday lineup consisting of reality and news programming. At the end of the day I have had enough reality, I want something that makes me sit up in my chair and say WTF! In my opinion, Happy Town was just finding its footing! You… Read more »
I really can’t fathom what ABC is thinking???!!!! Stephan McPherson, the President of ABC, should step down. It is obvious he has absolutely no idea what the public wants!!!!
Unbelievable! ABC is seriously missing the mark. The number of really great shows that they pull of the air is remarkable. I totally agree with Michael in terms of the rating system not taking into account viewings on Hulu, etc . . . Hulu is the only way I watch TV anymore (and I’m 45 – not in the 18-35 demographic). This makes me want to avoid any shows that sound like they might be good that are produced by ABC since the minute I get hooked, they’ll just take it off the air. Boo to ABC!!
Why is it that Vampires and faux reality are the viewing for the masses I loved Happy Town because it was a suspense thriller without all the supernatural or aliens. So I guess it’s just the mass crowd appeal of crap as usual
So what this last episode tells us is that “Alice”, the Sheriff’s wife and Tommy’s mother, IS the Magic Man? The Sheriff was in on it too? And what happened/who is the girl who followed the Sheriff to the bar AND the English guy who owned that store and the state cop who doesn’t appear to be a cop at all are “chasing” them, but the one talked to the bird down in the cages? And the non-state cop told that woman that he WAS the Magic Man……oh man, there are STILL so many loose ends and I am even… Read more »
TV Rating system does not take in account for those that watch post airing. Which the majority of the 18-35 year old do. We are part of the information age. I don’t even have a TV or cable any more just a Big screen Computer entertainment center, and if I did have cable I would have a DVR (Tivo). Tivo/Hulu/Online viewing does not count toward the rating system. It is all about $$ and there is very little made from the post viewing market and none from Tivo. That is why all sci-fi, mystery, and shows targeted to 18-35 are… Read more »
I have been enjoying the show, and am now kinda bitter I do not get to watch more. I may be missing something but on abc.go.com there are only 5 episodes (the ones that actually aired), and these are the final two, which pick up right where things left off. I am confused because that only makes seven episodes when eight were recorded and even reviewed.
NO! I am very very unhappy. I am glad they posted the last two after Dave was shot, but it still leaves a lot hanging. I watched every episode and really enjoyed the show. I am upset that ABC would take it off the air. The actors and actresses were amazing, so it isn’t their fault. I too am sick of all the reality crap and felt this was a totally different kind of show that could be appreciated. Cheers to all the Happy Town fans!
I thought the last 2 epsoides were just as good as the 1st one but the second one still leaves u hanging and I AM tried of getting into these shows and ABC cancelles them just like Eastwick everytime there is something good on and we get into it gets taken off. It is bad enought that there is nothing on TV to begin with in the summer and now you have taken the only good show on right now. Please do not take this show off it is too great of a program.
Two of my favorite shows in the last ten years get pulled because ABC doesn’t want intelligent viewers. First it was Push, Nevada. Now Happy Town. I see no reason to watch ABC other than college football.
Thanks for the last two episodes. I have added hulu to my favorites. Perhaps a cable network will pickup Season Two. Why does ABC cancel all of it’s best shows?
Great twists at the end of a great show…………. Now am I supposed to be as rivited by The Bachelorette, that mindless, garbage reality crap ? Shame on you ABC for not recognizing a quality show when you had one, and trying instead to shove sludge down our throats.
I noticed three actors in Happy Town from October Rd., another great drama that was swiftly yanked off TV. Wasn’t that an ABC show also ???? HMMM……I think you need to fire whoever is in charge of your programing. I, for one, am done with your network.
Can we get the rest in a book form or something? Where is Scott Rosenblum (the writer/producer or something)?
WHY would they take this show off the air. I loved it and I’m sick of the reality shows. They always take the good shows off and leave the bad ones on. Get with it!
What a great show. I still want more. Maybe this is just a ploy by the network to see how many really want more. Hope they are listening.
