The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.

I think it was the right thing to do. There were a couple of officers featured that I felt were a bit edgy and may be capable of questionable behavior with suspects. I think that it’s time for police training reform and ending the military like existance. I also enjoyed the show for the most part. Our country needs to begin a healing process when it comes to the police and minorities as well as each citizen. Children are taught racism and hate, we need to turn the page.
Terrible decision to take live PD off the air. It was an educational program that gave us knowledge about how the police interacted with both regular citizens and criminals. This show has made me gain so much respect for our law enforcement and pray for their safety daily. please bring back this show.
Please bring back Live PD. It showed the Police force in a caring and social political correct view. Being a retired Air Force Security Police after 24 years of my service, I know what I’m talking about. This show needs to be seen in this day and time like never before in our Country. The police were never abusive and didn’t abuse their power. Please do the right thing.
I think it’s wrong! Live PD makes police brutality worse how?!?! If anything as a person who does NOT care for cops it helped me see what they deal with too. There are bad cops and bad citizens period. As well the show really shows many who are nieve what a serious drug problem this Country has and it’s tragic!
It is unfortunate that a few police have ruined all the good that Live PD did. The decision to cancel the show was abrupt and could have been made with several options. Live PD SHOWED HOW IMPORTANT COMMUNITY POLICING CAN BE. BRING IT BACK!!
Bring it back thinking about canceling cable that includes this channel because of this move.
I have watched PD Live and enjoy it. As a volunteer firefighter and fire police, I think it shows the compassion and hard work that police officers do in dealing with people who do not want to follow the law. There is good and bad in everything. This show has shown that police officers are human too. Bad move in taking it off.
So sad that you bent down to this mess. You lie when you have your viewers In mind. We will not watch a&e anymore. Hope you like your rateings now. Almost as bad as CNN. Best show on TV And you caved.

This really sucks they canceled LivePd I looked forward to watching it Friday and Saturday nights I dont even understand why they did this i am hoping another network will pick it up
I can’t believe A&E cancelled all these shows! Not only did it show the positive side of police work but you are letting the few dictate what we are able to watch. This is wrong on so many levels. What’s next, burning books?
I do not think any of it should be cancelled. Perhaps time delay or recorded earlier would allow offensive material to not be shown. It’s reality, and Don’t is playing into the media hype.
This is such a bad decision. This is sending as message that all law enforcement is bad and should not be trusted. Yes, there are bad cops and good felons. Each made a decision that affected many.
Having the backbone to continue this show would be such a positive, not just for the production, but also for all(young and old) who watch.
Please rethink your decision.
