What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, the neXt TV show stars John Slattery, Elizabeth Cappuccino, Jason Butler Harner, Fernanda Andrade, Eve Harlow, Aaron Moten, Michael Mosley, Evan Whitten, and Gerardo Celasco. The story revolves around Silicon Valley pioneer Paul LeBlanc (Slattery) who built a fortune and his legacy on his world-changing innovations. After discovering that one of his own creations — a powerful artificial intelligence called “neXt” — might spell doom for humankind, Paul tried to shutter the project, only to be kicked out of the company by his own brother (Harner). When a series of unsettling tech mishaps points to a potential worldwide crisis, LeBlanc joins forces with Special Agent Shea Salazar (Andrade) and her unique and talented team. Now, they are the only ones standing in the way of a potential global catastrophe, fighting an emergent superintelligence that will deploy the immense knowledge it has gleaned from the data all around us to recruit allies, turn people against each other, and eliminate obstacles to its own survival and growth

Why do these networks cancel the really good ones! It is so disappointing to find a show you enjoy and then find out there’s not going to be a season 2!
The next TV series needed to play out. It truthfully becomes the new 24. If you give it another season I think you’ll see different ratings. This show is exactly like 24, it needs to build intensity. It did and given a second chance might surprise the critics. Please don’t cancel the show.
This was a great show. Hopefully some miracle will happen and another network will pick it up.
Wow, they have the courage to call tonight’s 2 hour show, a “season finale”. After they canceled the show, week two.
Crap shows last forever, great shows are one and done!
I’m actually reading right now they got canceled. Network TV shows are going to be a thing of the past. You cannot keep starting shows and canceling them with no endings. This is why Netflix and similar content is thriving. Get with the picture or your content will be strictly on the history Channel as they discuss the history of TV and how they used to be networks.
Why was it canceled, please? I am not sure l got it.

I hope Amazon or Netflix picks up this fantastic show! Finally there was a Sci-Fi show and it get’s cancelled! Great actors! Great story! Please, continue this story! My husband and I love it!

Over the past decade, I have been lured into watching several promising new series, which I have enjoyed. In EVERY case, these excellent programs were canceled at the end of the season, with no ending and no warning. Just when you get to know the stories and the characters, they’re GONE! I love watching old movies and certain program re-runs, plus MANY PBS programs, like NOVA. I am about to swear off of current network programming. I won’t let them treat me this way.
I totally agree. You just start to really get into the show and then it’s cancelled. It’s getting to the point where I only start watching a show if there are at least 2 or 3 seasons to watch.
Next is a breath of fresh air. Very good show. Can’t believe it’s cancelled already.

How can Next be cancelled when only Ep 3 is playing now? Great show worth watching- would love to see more / and Friday nights? That’s a terrible slot
the entire season has been made already and they decide whether or not to make a season 2 or add on to season 1
Any chance they will try and wrap up the series with some sort of ending instead of leaving it hanging? Make it a mini-series!
