Netflix is expanding their kids and family content. Deadline reports the streaming service has ordered a new TV show called The Prince of Peoria.
The live-action comedy follows “Emil, a 13-year-old prince from a wealthy island kingdom, [who] travels to the U.S. to live incognito as an exchange student, [and] he strikes up an unlikely friendship with Teddy, a fastidious, overachieving boy who is Emil’s total opposite.”
Netflix has ordered 16 episodes of The Prince of Peoria. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
What do you think? Do you subscribe to Netflix? Will you and your kids watch The Prince of Peoria?
I’m happy to see Netflix is adding appropriate children’s programming. I’m excited it will be filmed in Peoria, IL because I live in Pekin. It would be cool to be a lady in the background, or even have the opportunity to see some filming. Gee how exciting for our local area.
Absolutely! Fun premise and better quality kid/family show is needed. If anyone can do it Netflix can. Very excited for some new options.
