CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

Scorpion was one of my favorite shows on TV! I can’t believe CBS canceled it. It was a great show everyone can watch. They could’ve kept it for one more season and ended it. I hate networks keep leaving things undone and don’t in the series
I’ve just watched all of the 4 seasons in two weaks and got so emotionally attached to this caracters, that broke my heart that the last episode of the fourth season ended like that, and now that I found out it is cancelled! It is such a great show. In some point it is one of the best shows ever, if someone like sylvester and walter, who are so “different” can move with their lifes and find hapinnes, it gives all of us hope… At least I find… Please bring it back, at least one more season to end it… Read more »
I really enjoyed Scorpion from the beginning to the cliff hanger. I can’t believe some of the shows they actually brought back such as Big Brother; Life in Pieces and Charmed; shows that would make you gag; and not a thriller such as Scorpion. Loved all the characters; the action was the best. Would love to see it for just one more season; if not to have closure with the characters

Scorpion was definitely going downhill ( I think they gave into the audience wanting the Paige-Walter relationship and that was a failure ). I think it should come back for one more season though if only to end it on a good note; it leaves a bad taste in your mouth when a show ends like Scorpion did. Really need cbs to bring back for a season five even if it’s the final season, can’t believe after putting so much time into watching and loving this show that this is how it’s going to be left, lost faith in cbs as they have picked up the charmed reboot that let’s be honest nobody really wants as it will always be compared to the original and that can’t be topped. Come on cbs give them one more season at least to give the fans a deserving ending….
Bring scorpion back!!!!! This was a brilliant programme which you had to watch from the start to finish, it kept you intrigued all the way through. BRING IT BACK PLEASEEEEEEEE!!
It ended on such a huge cliffhanger! It can’t end now, CBS at least bring it back for season 5 to let it wrap up! And the ratings go on same day views, but so many people watch it recorded!
Very disappointed that scorpion was cancelled. It was one of the few shows that actually created discussions around the water cooler. Big brother could be cancelled, it certainly isn’t as intelligent as Scorpion, and it would make room for another Scorpion season. With the cancellation of many other intelligent hour long series I’m questioning whether or not it’s worth keeping network t.v. at all. Was looking forward to next season of Scorpian! Was just talking about if it was only on during a decent time it would be doing great. Had to watch on my phone since could not stay stay up that late and make it to work.

Ich kann es nicht verstehen Euer System.Scorpion setzt man ab weil die Zahlen fallen und andere Serien setzt man fort die noch schlechtere Zahlen aufweisen (z.B. Elementary).
Das ist nach halber sechster Staffel schon weit unten und jetzt kommt noch ne siebte Staffel.
Bitte setzt SCORPION wieder fort ich sah jede Episode in Deutschland bis jetzt und habe mir auch alle 3 Staffeln auf DVD gekauft.

I seriously cannot believe this!!!!! This is the ONLY show I’ve ever seen that pulls you in & keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire program! The cast was amazing together- seems like they’ve been together much longer. I can’t believe they renewed crap shows to cancel Scorpion! It was one of only two shows I ever watched faithfully. Very disappointed!

Please do not end scorpion. ….. it’s going to break my heart …. pls even if it’s for the last season with a happy ending…. it really educative and has helped me as a medical student in life threatening situations….. pls for the love of anything you hold dear … DO NOT LET SCOPION END LIKE THIS!!!!!!!
How can you justify ending scorpion but keeping things like life in pieces , and big brother which both suck and are boring
