While it’s not yet up on the network press site, Deadline reports The 100 TV show has been renewed for season five on The CW. The sci-fi drama stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Devon Bostick, Lindsey Morgan, Christopher Larkin, Isaiah Washington, and Henry Ian Cusick.
According to the report, creator Jason Rothenberg is expected to continue on at The 100, as executive producer and showrunner. That said, he has the Searchers TV show pilot in development, also at The CW. Should it be ordered to series, it is likely they’ll bring on a co-showrunner for The 100.
As it did in 2016 and 2015, The CW has once again issued early renewals to all it returning scripted series currently, except for The Vampire Diaries and Reign, which were previously announced as ending or cancelled.
The CW previously gave renewals to: Arrow (season six), The Flash (season four), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season three), Supergirl (season three), and that old battle-ax Supernatural (season 13), as well as comedies Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season three) and Jane the Virgin (season four).
In addition, The CW just renewed Riverdale, for a second season, earlier this week. As noted in the report, their other new series, No Tomorrow and Frequency, are less likely to be renewed.
The 100: A Look At The Season Four Ratings
The fourth season The 100 is averaging a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.23 million viewers. Compared to the season three ratings, that’s down by 20% in the demo and down by 20% in viewers. Learn how The 100 stacks up against the other CW TV shows.

My father got me watching The 100 and now i cannot wait for season 5 to start up. I am so excited for season 5.
The 100 was one of fee series i actually got into and really fell in. I hope to see many more seasons. Would have liked for them to keep Lincoln and Lexa but not much of a fan of Bellamy. Its starting to seem like anytime two ppl fall in love one will die soon, would like to see if relationships last. Im gonna b super disappointed when the show cancels or runs out of material.
I’d be happy thought If only I could convince them to save Reign
I too thought that there was more to season four so I’m thrilled the 100 is coming back for a fifth season I’m so tired of getting into so many incredible tv shows that just keep getting cancelled maybe Netflix can save more of my favorites that just got tossed after a thrilling season finale cliffhanger.
I’m very happy that The 100 has been renewed for a 5th season. I didn’t realize that episode 13 was the final episode for season 3, and would have been very disappointed if the series would have cancelled and left the series they way they had. I’m looking forward to finding out what happened to those who went into the bunker, as well as those who went back into space. I was just introduced to the 100 a month ago and the first episode i was addicted. I went from seadon 1 to 4 in a week maybe less. I can not wait for season 5. I hope its not like the other shows and make us wait a year. Im so in love with Belamey!! Keep up the great job. I hope to see Belamey and Clark together!!!!

This series and Expanse are absolutely great sci-fy! Not so much them come out todays… So I am glad for series 5.

I like the show they should keep it going and the action is really good as well. I hope season 5 gets aired as soon as possible can’t wait.
They should absolutely continue on with this storyline so much good sci fi very very well written and directed it doesn’t get any better than this show
