The second season of the Transparent TV show on Amazon was nominated for a total of 10 Emmy awards in categories including casting (Eyde Belasco); directing (creator Jill Soloway, “Man on the Land”); Lead Actor (Jeffrey Tambor), Supporting Actress (Judith Light and Gaby Hoffman); Guest Actor (Bradley Whitford); Guest Actress (Melora Hardin); and Outstanding Comedy Series.
In the wake of such acclaim, Tambor, Soloway, and Light teased a bit of what to expect in the upcoming third season for Maura and the Pfeffermans. Tambor told Deadine Maura, “has to decide what she looks like — that’s a major challenge” and “a very important confrontation.”
Said Soloway: “We go back in time again to a different part. We have Maura as a 10-year-old which is unbelievable.” With the flashbacks, Light said, “We begin to understand what makes someone operate in the way that they do. It reveals the psychological depth of who these people really are. Mora [sic] is still in the process of finding herself.”
What do you think? Have you watched the first two seasons of the Transparent TV series? Do you plan to watch the third when it drops to Amazon?
