Is Wayward Pines coming back? Recently, FOX chief Dana Walden discussed the future of the supernatural drama, TVLine reports.
From M. Night Shyamalan, Wayward Pines is set in a mysterious Idaho town where the human race is endangered. The cast includes Jason Patric, Djimon Hounsou, Nimrat Kaur, Josh Helman, Kacey Rohl, and Tom Stevens. Season two just ended in July.
When asked if Wayward Pines will be renewed or not, Walden said “there could be a season 3,” noting the series is “still the No. 1 scripted show of the summer.” Ratings for season two, though considerably lower than season one, were stable, with an average of .73 in the 18-49 demo and 2.392 million viewers.
Walden added that the producers “have a really compelling for Season 3 that I liked very much. We’re definitely talking about the show right now.”

Why are the shows with unusual subject matter, compelling espisodes, and intriguing characterizations always threatened for the chopping block? I’m looking forward to where this intriguing story will go in Season 3. Bring back Wayward Pines!

I have really enjoyed the other 2 series and would love to know what happens to all the survivors when they come out of the pods…if they all do?? lets go for it …I have loves the series so far!! Bobby D

Please do not cancel Wayward Pines. We have to know whats going to happen when they wake up in the future. What about the baby that was born and the Abie mother was holding? It looked and sounded like a regular human. And what about the man that followed their leader and she told them to let him pass through. We have to see and know whats going on
We need a season 3 you can’t leave us without knowing what happen. If the Abbie and Margert attacked the city. Iam looking forward to more please bring it back

I’ve really enjoyed watching Wayward Pines, especially on broadcast TV. Wayward Pines is a striking commentary about Eugenics, politics and class. You know, we see the same distinctions in our own society right now. Designer babies and the gene editing “CRISPR” kit could produce the “Abies” today, or a species elevated beyond mere human (transcendent). Wayward Pines gives us a glimpse of the problems and situations we might encounter should a “break away” society emerge. Would there be a tyranny of the elite?
