What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, the Call Me Kat TV show is based on the British Miranda series and stars Mayim Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Julian Gant. The story follows Kat (Bialik), a woman who struggles every day against society (and her mother) to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilling life — despite still being single at 39 years old. Kat’s mother, Sheila (Kurtz), views her daughter being single as her own personal failure. After leaving her job as a University of Louisville college professor, Kat spends the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café. Working alongside Kat are her friends, artist Randi (Pratt) and Phil (Jordan), a baker. As Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans begin to veer off-course when her former crush and good friend, Max (Jackson), returns to town. Max takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street from Kat’s place and works with his friend, Carter (Gant).
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Call Me Kat averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.80 million viewers in the live+same day ratings (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM). Compared to season one, that’s down by 41% in the demo and down by 31% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. Will FOX cancel or renew Call Me Kat for season three? Season two got off to a great start (thanks to a football lead-in) but the ratings have dropped pretty low for a scripted series. I think Kat’s got a decent chance of being renewed for a third season but a cancellation wouldn’t shock me either. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Keep Kats Cafe on for season 3
This is an amazing show. Please renew it! The season finale brought me to tears. It needs better advertising. So much better than other sitcoms. Wait it’s the only sitcom.

I’ve slowly fallen in love with this show and it’s characters!! It’s initial quirkiness and different approach to comedy had me wondering if I’d ever continue watching……..BUT have yet to miss an episode. I like how they ended the season and want to know if Kat returns to the cafe? Can Phil and Randi successfully run the cafe on their own? Did Max bomb in Nashville? Does Sheila find true love? Does Oscar rebound from lost love? What about Carter and his crazy cousin…….I mean Darren is cray cray but you love him, don’t? I’m still processing if I want… Read more »

please cancel this, the minute the writers bent the knee to character shippers the show went down hill. Oscar was a good character, he was doing well and then all of a sudden the writers out of nowhere go back on all the things that they had stated before (Kat and Oscar having a good time together and being cute together) and then the shippers got their claws in the writers bent their knee and nothing made sense. Agree; things were going well between Kat and Oscar, then out of nowhere, she’s in love with Max? If this is the route they’re going, or pairing her with Nick, I’d rather see the show cancelled.
