Vulture reports that CBS is considering remaking Charmed. The original TV show was produced by Aaron Spelling and ran for eight seasons and 178 episodes on The WB.
Apparently Party of Five co-creator Chris Keyser and partner Syndey Sidner are co-writing the project. Those in the know consider it a “re-imagining” of the original Charmed series.
CBS TV Studios holds the rights to the Spelling library and is producing the project with the Tannenbaum Company. Thus far, the network has only asked for a pilot script so the project may or may not move beyond that point.
Revolving around a trio of sisters who discover that they’re witches, Charmed debuted in 1998 with Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, and Alyssa Milano as the leads. Doherty left after three seasons and her character was killed off. Rose McGowan joined the cast as a previously unknown sibling.
The reruns are still airing on TNT and WE. Last year, a Netflix report noted that Charmed is the service’s second most-binged program.

Yes. I loved that show. infact i will donate three of my handcrafted wands to be used in the show. They could be the “charmed wands” for the “charmed ones” and possibly a great marketing tool for the show. It’s all about being innovative and giving thr characters an extension of themselves that thier fans can also be a part of. I love the idea. So if they do reboot, hit me up, I have some cool wands for you.
I would love to see to see a new Charmed with original characters and their children all grown up and fighting the good fight . You can’t go wrong this was a beloved show and still is. Blessed Be !
Make a continuation of the original charmed using same characters and cast if available, bring it up to date with maybe their children being taught by their parents
I was really excited that Charmed was being brought back. But, oh my.. was I ever disappointed! It was awful! I turned it off half way through… the girls were soooo angry… the character White Lighter came across as an idiot. Casting for this was really bad. The story line is really bad.. Too bad…
I love Charmed and I would love to see it come back with all the original cast!
yes please bring the show back with the same characters.
yes I would like charmed back on the air but with the original characters could bring some characters back as whitelighters that were killed off and bring back others that left for other reasons. Don’t really like when they bring a show back but with different people just isn’t the same very rarely is it better than the original.
I would love to see new charmed episodes, but would love to see the original characters. possibly make Prue a whitelighter give Leo his powers back let Piper and Leos daughter be a witch/whitelighter like her older brothers would only be fair. bring Andy in as a white lighter. Except the plan is to REMAKE the original Charmed with new scripts, new actors. I agree that taking the series to the next generation (whom we’ve already met) could be almost as much fun as the original. I cannot imagine, and would not watch, a remake. Doesn’t anyone have an original idea any more? It’s all remakes and rehashes. Boring.
Would love to see a reboot with them later in years ,kids grown up my grand kids love the show

Pick up a re-boot as a continuation…the sisters are middle aged and set in their lives with husbands, careers, children, as was shown in “Forever Charmed”. Piper and Leo already have Wyatt and Chris. In this re-boot, they’d likely also have other children. Phoebe marries Coop, they have kids…Paige marries Henry, they have the twins and Henry Jr, etc et al.
I completely agree with Doug I would love to see the original actor’s brought back as the Charmed one’s again as Forever Charmed.I don’t believe any one could ever honestly play there part’s even close as good as the original actor’s did.It’s been one of my favorite’s for a long time and still watch the rerun’s because it’s a great show.No remake with other actor’s can never compare to the original.Please re-boot as a continuation of Charmed with the old actor’s.The other that just started isn’t even close to being as good at all.It’s a joke and to me seem’s… Read more »
