Is Bergeron coming back? Recently, former Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron spoke with TV Guide about the possibility of returning to the ABC TV show.
Bergeron hosted the celebrity dancing reality series from 2005 to 2020 and was replaced with Tyra Banks for the show’s 29th season.
In the interview, Bergeron opened up about being dropped from Dancing with the Stars after 15 years. When asked if there’s a chance he’ll return, he sadly revealed there isn’t:
When people say, “I’m not gonna watch until you’re back,” I say, “Well, there’s really no ‘until’ here.” This train has left the station. I appreciate the sentiment, and I don’t hold it against anybody if they [watch].
Bergeron later reflected on his favorite memories from hosting the ABC TV show, saying his friendships with the cast and crew stand out:
The friendships I have with people who were on camera and behind the camera. I used to throw midseason parties for cast and staff. It helped create a sense of solidarity…and then we’d try to sober up the next day. “

My family does not like Tyra Banks as a host for Dancing with the Stars. She’s nowhere near as good as Tom Bergeron & her personality & some of her costumes are truly not appealing.
Have not watched since Tayra Banks came on , don’t care for her on this show
I feel sad the Tom Bergeron is not coming back. I understand where he’s coming from. Hopefully the show will get back to what it was. The judges don’t have enough time to really say what they want.
I really feel sad for Tom Bergeron will not be back. You could just tell that everybody got along really well. This year it was a little disappointing that the judges couldn’t say what they really needed to say they were cut short. Tyra Banks is a good person but I don’t think she’s really right for the show. It’s really more about her than everyone else and that’s pretty sad.
I really miss Tom Bergeron.
Tyra isn’t a very good host
Yes, I miss him too. It was a mistake to take him off of the show. Tyra Banks adds nothing to it and just likes to show off in her clothes. Tom had a quick wit and was funny. Bring him back.
Yes, I miss Tom, I like Tyra Banks but I don’t think she’s a good fit for the show. She gives me the impression that it’s all about her rather then the contestants, with her frequent costume changes.
I watch the show because I was a dance instructor for Fred Astaire studios in my youth and I always judge the dance on performance not on personality. I record it so I can bypass Tyra and the judges and their crazy antics. Tyra is an over the hill model, overweight and thinks the show is about her. Her costumes are rediculous. If she must be there at least put her in a decent gown. The recorded noise is a turnoff. I’m there for the dance……
I am very upset with your removal of tom bergeron. I think tyra banks is rediculous.
I have watched the show since its beginning but no longer. I did not watch last weeks
I shall miss seeing my favorite show. However its not what it once was
I never missed DWTS. This season I have not watched it. Bring back Tom and Erin. Can’t understand why you would have let them go.
Tyra is DWTS’s producer. She bought her way onto the program and she’s not going anywhere unless the show is cancelled
Tom was the only reason I liked to watch DWTS. His wit and humor was always do spot on.
I have watched DWTS since its Inception and I absolutely can’t watch it anymore without Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. I really want Tom to come back please! The show is not the same without him!

Been watching DWTS since thd beginning. I was very surprised and disappointed when T Bergeron was replaced. I have only watched 1 show , the 1st one . It was a totally different experience was terrible. Tyra over acted her part. Tom brought his wit and charm to the show. Bring Tom BACK
Renew Dancing w/the Stars. Bring back Tom Bergeron & Erin Andrews. I liked that they didn’t try to steal the show & out dress the cast.
