As has become the norm, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but the show wasn’t cancelled either. They just kept it on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see a 58th season for the 2020-21 broadcast season? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting on April 1st of 1963, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Tamara Braun, Steve Burton, William deVry, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Max Gail, Nancy Lee Grahn, Briana Nicole Henry, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Kelly Monaco, Wes Ramsey, Emme Rylan, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Maura West, and Laura Wright.

Note: ABC ran out of original episodes with week 35 due to the COVID-19 production shutdown. New episodes resumed with week 46.
For comparisons: The 2018-19 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.30 million total viewers.

I love watching GH. It is an escape from my reality. I normally watch it on hulu due to my life and that’s when I have time. I usually stay about two weeks behind. But being a single mom that’s what happens. ABC please don’t cancel GH. I enjoy this to much. I use to also watch One life to live and All my children.. please leave it alone. There are too many people who enjoy it. I personally started watching GH when I was a little girl

Yes absolutely please put it back on there’s a lot of service members that watch it overseas, I was one of we couldn’t get many America channels but for sure we got GH. Please don’t do this we already lost All My Children & One Life To Life just do what you guys like bring back some more of the old crew like Tracy, Aunt Stella, Morgan because no body was found that will turn everything upside down.
I love GH! I have been watching GH since 1967. I enjoyed most storylines. The one when Luke Helena Cassadine we’re performing weird experiments were hard to follow. Please don’t cancel this soap opera! It is the best soap opera on daytime TV.
I have been watching GH since 1967 and I love it. There have been som seasons that were a little strange but for the most part it is the best soap opera on air.
I can not wait everyday to watch GH. I love it it has been my family since beginning. Lord help me if it ever stops. It hasnt shown any epidodes this werk at all werk of Sept 28. What happened?
Where is General Hospital. Please renew there contract. I have watched since the beginning. My mom watched also. No warning ! You just cut the show off. I think people have been through enough with he pandemic. Put General Hospital back on please.
Definitely should be renewed, they have the most interesting treatments and storylines, not the usual Soap Opera and the acting is superb. Don’t need any more talk and reality shows. It is the only thing right now that is good on TV.
Keep General Hispital going!! It’s a great soap opera, I have been watching since I was little! Listen to the fans when it domes to some of the story lines!!

Please bring GH back. I am a life time fan. My mother watched it when I was a child and I continued to watch through my adult life. This is a show I never miss. The best soap that has ever been on TV.
