Last week, ABC revised their primetime schedule and the final two episodes of Happy Town were bumped. The move didn’t come as a big surprise since the ratings have continued to drop lower and lower.
It was speculated that the episodes might air on a Saturday night in July, following in the footsteps of fellow cancelled shows the forgotten (July 3rd) and Eastwick (July 10th).
Now, the unofficial word is that the last two episodes of Happy Town won’t even be shown on TV. Instead, they’ll be burned off on ABC’s website. The show’s official network representative couldn’t offer us any details but confirmed that ABC doesn’t have plans to air the final episodes in the foreseeable future.
The writers and producers of Happy Town have been told that they’ll be released online but haven’t been able to find out when that will happen either. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
UPDATE: The last episodes have been posted. You can watch “Dallas Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and “Blame it on Rio Bravo” here.
What do you think? Does it upset you that the last two episodes will be released on the Internet? Does it matter?

I too enjoyed the show, and was looking forward to watching it tonite, I hope we somehow get to see th e final episodes.
Seriously, it’s time to stop watching any of ABCs new shows…just wait to see if they commit to the series and then watch the DVD when it becomes available. If they don’t commit and cancel, then you simply will not care.
Good shows get canceled. Happy Town joins gems like Arrested Development and Jericho. I’ve come to expect it. I guess we’ll be seeing another episodic medical or criminal drama or a reality TV show in it’s place.
Happy Town–go to Showtime. You’ll be “happy” there. And so will I.
I think if ABC was smart they’d give the show more time to gather fans. Happy Town has the potential to be the must see show of the year. They were much too quick on the trigger to kill the show. I think this show would have set the bar higher for other stations to bring high quality shows to the viewing audience, instead of the same show in different cities or different departments. I’ll watch the final episodes on line because they may be showing it there to find out how many people are actually watching the show instead… Read more »
Yes, I’d love to be able to see the last 2 episodes of Happy Town. I’ve watched all 6 of the episodes and would love to be able to see the ending. Why start a series if not to finish it. Why leave loyal fans who have watched all along hanging and never know the outcome. I’ll watch on the net if that’s the only way I’ll be able to see the finish.
U need to put it back on from the 1st episode for the fans that have been watching it,this show didn’t even get a fair chance!!! This does sucks
It’s absolutely ridiculous the way ABC does business. What about all the people who actually invested some time watching every episode up until now. Since I’m in Canada I probably won’t even be able to watch the episodes on ABC.com due to that fact that I’m out of their broadcasting region. That’ll be the last time I ever tune in to that network.
Why? Twin Peaks ran longer, Who is not watching Happy town?
It is cause you fools aired the first episode during sweeps week, when fans were watching the other channels, duh, did you really think you would get them to watch you instead?
Pull your heads out, you had a really great show, pulled it off the air, and now, won’t show the last 2 episodes…..You really want to suck don’t you.!!
F*&% ABC. No wonder nobody is watching because no one ever knows if it will be on or not. I hate network TV. Happy Town should have been on cable.
I’m so tired of any show that isn’t written for an 8th grade audience being canceled.
so true, there are no good shows for those of us over 35
I agree with the other comments, don’t start a mini-series if you are not going to finish it. I really enjoyed the show and looked forward to seeing each new episode. I also became hooked to this show, just like Harpers Island last year. Don’t leave us fans hanging, please show the last episodes!
No wonder ABC doesn’t get the share of the market they feel they deserve. They don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stick with anything. If they were not such losers they might have had a winner with Happy Town. They way things are now, no one even looks to see what is airing on ABC, they just turn to FOX and enjoy the night. Grow up ABC and finish what you start.
Sure it bothers me. My family really liked this series. It reminded us of Harper’s Island. I hope they do air it on the internet so that some of us who followed the series could see the final 2 episodes.
Why can’t NBC air the final episodes for the fans who have watched every week. We have been loyal fans and deserve to see the ending!!!
I think it Stinks and ABC S^&**&<s At least CBS finished there mini series after canclling it and if they showed it in July I wouldn't be so mad.Jimmy Kimmel is going to get better ratings..Please!!!!!!!!!!! Stop producing Mini Series if your not going to finish them…Happy Town was a pretty good show but i guess watching Talk shows are more entertaining spreading Gossip and the other BS on those shows..ABC has been on my sh&* list already but they are gone now.Go CBS
