TV show description:
In this competitive reality series, celebrity trainers coach contestants to lose weight. It is hosted by Shaun T., the “Insanity” workout creator.
Trainers customize varied diets and workouts. Each wants to prove his or her plan superior. The “cLean Momma Plan” burns calories through housework. “The Wild Diet” involves food and physical exertion, common to primitive man.
There is a twist on the typical weight-loss competition. When contestants fail, the trainers are eliminated.
The first season contestants are: Taj Robinson, Latasha Givens, Kurt Morgan, Jeff Benedict, and Jasmin Quen.
Throughout, celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser presents contestants with milestone challenges. These will test their progress.
Contestants aim to learn how to approach and reach their goals. The last team standing wins.
Series Finale:
Episode #8 — The Final Weigh In
It’s the seventh week of the competition, and it’s time for the experts to say goodbye to the contestants as they ready to tackle the 5K race, but with the pressure at an all-time high, not everyone decides to stay on the finale episode. In the end, Jasmin Quen won the $50,000 prize and Kurt Morgan was the runner-up.

What do you think? Do you like the My Diet Is Better Than Yours TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I ennoy the show and feel its giving more more workout ideas every week. Renew, renew, renew this show.
we love it! We hope you renew it!
I agree with many of the other comments; more emphasis on the diet plan and implementation is needed. Also, more should be shown when the contestants were trainer-less. What mental blocks happened, what did they do to overcome?
I enjoy seeing the mental and physical aspect of people walking through the diet. I find it enlightening and motivating.
Best weight loss show I have seen!
It is hard to find out the qualifications of all of the diet coaches/trainers. The 2 coaches who are gone need to work on their interpersonal skills. I have my doubts about their methods. Clearly, the contestants who were their clients did too. I think that both made better choices the second time around. The show is entertaining, and I really like the fact that none of the trainers is screaming at the contestants. I like cheering for the contestants. I am hoping that all of them can make permanent changes required to improve their health for the long term.… Read more »
I enjoy the show! I don’t think it should be canceled at all! I honk it has good information about all the key way to lose weight and stay healthy! but I would like to see a show/series where you have thin guys or girls who want and can’t put on weight or get strong. I am one of those people and I would love to take part in the show if would become a real thing.
Enjoying the show. I hope it is not cancelled. I enjoy walking on the treadmill while watching the show. It has motivated me to move.
There should be an emphasis that it is not ALL about the scale!
Clean mama plan probably works but she needs to work n her coaching and attitude needs adjusting
I like the show a lot. Great ideas regarding life time improvements. Please keep!
Enjoying the show. Interesting hearing different trainers perspectives on diets/exercise…. I myself am a mental health therapist and a personal trainer. Would love to know how you can be selected for the show if it continues…!
I love the show! All of the program’s get me excited it allows regular people like me to get many ideas.
Don’t cancel. I love this show! I like the idea of doing it at home and making lasting changes. Abel James is AWESOME! I love his podcast, too. The show had us on the edges of our seats– can’t wait to tune in next week!
This show is a Joke!! I’m really surprised with Shaun T to let some unknowns on a show he is hosting!!
I am a personal trainer and I have to say the only trainer I was happy with was Abel James and the Superfoods Swap trainer. I am very disappointed that they did not actually show them how to prepare their meals and what to do for their workouts. I am not a fan. I think Shaun T and Anna Kaiser need to step in and be the trainer for all of them and have Abel James assist with the workouts and teach them the nutrition side. I am sure Anna Kaiser and Shaun T can do all of their meal… Read more »
Thank you for your considered insight, Kim.
i wish it would be more diet related, since thats the name of the show. Its nothing more than biggest loser right now, just different people.
Thanks for adding that, rosemary.
Biggest Loser was unrealistic for most people– who can go stay at a ranch for months and have someone cook their food for them and work out for hours a day? This show seems like a good jumping point for regular people. I do wish they’d show more of a meal plan, though. cLean Mama and Jay didn’t really provide a meal plan, which misses the mark, right? Loving Abel and Dawn!
So often we see weightloss programs, where participants lose weight on air..but all you see is their workouts and not their diet…which is a key component ro weightloss.
My family and I watched the show on it’s premiere night and enjoyed it! Definitely beneficial as we too are on our weightloss journey!
Good to know, Stephane. Thank you for reading and commenting.
