NCIS will see another character exit the series. Maria Bello, who plays Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane, is expected to depart the CBS series midway through the upcoming 18th season. The actress joined the show at the start of season 15 with a three-year contract.
Deadline reported that Bello will appear in eight episodes of the new season to wrap up the storyline for her character.
A premiere date for season 18 has not been announced yet, but CBS is hoping to have NCIS and most of its line-up return this fall.

I like her for the very first episode she was in.
This is disappointing. I like her character and she adds another dimension to the team. Didn’t she want to re-sign? Or is this the fault of the producers?????

You’re right. Losing Ziva & Tony was a heart break. And it’s true, what Fred Kimpel said, WHY is it all the women leave? Miss Abby a lot also!
Except for bishop….she just stays and stays and stays. I wanted her to leave from her first episode and still feel that way. Personally, I just dont like her character and, imo she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the cast.

NCIS is throwing characters out there then slowly eliminating them. Since Ziva left they have added Bishop, Reeves, Quinn, Torres, and Jack. Not enough story for Reeves, Quinn, and Torres, so Torres won out. He fits well with the team. Jack had a different job, so I liked her character as she gave them a new direction to explore. Would have liked to see her stay.
