Today, CBS All Access released the first trailer for the Star Trek: Picard TV show and it appears that more than one familiar face is onboard for the upcoming series. In addition to Sir Patrick Stewart returning to play Jean Luc Picard, we see Star Trek: Voyager’s Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) as well as Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Hugh the Borg (Jonathan Del Arco) and Data/B4 (Brent Spiner).
Though not in the trailer, it was confirmed at the Comic Con panel by showrunner Michael Chabon that Jonathan Frakes (who’s also directing several episodes) and Marina Sirtis will reprise their roles as William T. Riker and Deanna Troi from TNG.
Star Trek: Picard is expected to premiere on CBS All Access in early 2020. I wouldn’t be surprised if the first episode also aired on the CBS broadcast network. Here’s the trailer, as well as some additional details:

What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching the Star Trek: Picard TV show? Will you be subscribing to CBS All Access to watch it?
After watching the loser Star Trek Discovery, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that SOMEBODY is finally bringing back the “real” Star Trek for us true Trekkers! The movies with Chris Pine were good and stayed to the Star Trek inventor Gene Roddenberry’s dream of a positive future where peace is the goal instead of war. However, they were very commercialized and also simply a vehicle for George Lukas to get the Star Wars Franchise. Discovery was so bad, I won’t even go into it. But yes, since I am slowly changing over to internet TV, it’s not… Read more »
OMG!
the recognisable characters playing a part was a sock but such a good one.
Picard in 2020 , I can’t wait…… but I must.
I’m a trekkie but will not subscribe to CBS All Access or Any other network or streaming service that will cost me additional money. Forget about it, Captain Picard.
I’m looking forward to it. I will not be subscribing to CBS to watch it, I have read that CBS was trying to change the timeline and original ethos of Startrek I’m a fan since 1970 but if CBS tries to go political correct with identity politics meaning changing characters to represent sexyallity, gender or anything else that’s not just entertainment. I’m finished with the franchise of Star Trek if messed with.
