What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Blacklist stars James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn, and Harry Lennix. The story begins as one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader), offers to help the authorities if a specific rookie agent, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), partners with him. As season nine begins, it’s two years since the death of Elizabeth and Red and the members of the FBI Task Force have disbanded. When one of their own is injured in the line of duty, however, the Task Force is drawn back together to bring down a conspiracy that could shatter global security. In the process, they begin to uncover lethal adversaries, unimaginable conspiracies, and surprising betrayals that will threaten alliances and spur vengeance for the past, led by the most devious criminal of them all – Raymond Reddington.
Season Nine Ratings
The ninth season of The Blacklist averaged a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.97 million viewers. Compared to season eight, that’s down by 16% in the demo and down by 9% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled. Will NBC cancel or renew The Blacklist for season 10? It feels like this show could have ended years ago, but the peacock network keeps renewing it. The move back to Thursdays might help its ratings but I think that, as long as Spader wants to continue, the show will go on. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I’m so thrilled Blacklist has been renewed for season 10!!! James Spader is one of the great actors that people tend to under rate. His acting is superb and this series could go on and on and I’ll be watching. I am however, sad that Liz is no longer part of show, and now Aram is leaving. But, Reddington steals the show every time! His ability to show affection and love as well as a remorseless killer, shows what a fantastic actor he is. Wife and I have been tuning in to watch Reddington since it started, Season 1. full of suspense, and intrigue! Spader is excellent at playing Reddington. Love his diabolical laugh and sarcasm. no one could do it better. Keep it coming. DO NOT cancel this show!

I am very disappointed with the providers of legal accuracy for this show. When Reddington requested his 6th Amendment Constitutional Right to face his accuser the judge must acquiesce to this demand, not take it upon herself to review the tape recording and determine whether or not the defendant has the right to perform discovery upon it. This in an actual trial would most certainly have been considered inadmissible because it was an unreliable source with no means to support its credibility. I was sad because of Mrs Boone’s departure of the series.I hope that a 10th season will tell us the whole truth about Reddington and his relation with Liz.And that will conclude the series.I hope.
