Over the past several years, ABC has had a difficult time successfully filling the Tuesdays at 10:00 PM timeslot. Could an unorthodox true-crime series be the answer or, will The Genetic Detective be the network’s latest series to draw low ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season two? The Genetic Detective follows investigative genetic genealogist CeCe Moore and her work with DNA technology company Parabon NanoLabs. In the series, Moore and her team revolutionize crime-solving by working with police departments and accessible crime scene DNA to help trace the path of a criminal suspect’s family tree, uncover their identity and bring them to justice. Since 2018, Moore has used her unique research skills to transform the face of crime-solving, helping to identify more than 100 violent criminal suspects.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

One of the best crime shows ever. It sends a real message to people thinking they can get away with crimes. Please renew the series.
This is a very educational and fascinating show! Learning how C.C. went through the process of identifying the killer was truly uplifting! It is so impressive as to how she makes her work look so simple. We know that it is not! I also appreciate how she shows genuie concern for the victims and takes out time to meet the grieving families.
She is a wonderful person and please keep her show running!

I stumbled onto this show one late evening and really liked it. Then I watched it a few more times before it disappeared. I didnt realize the season was over. Sure hope it comes back. I searched online about it and seems ratings were low and it may not return. I hope ABC will give it another chance as I think it needs to build momentum … then you’ll see ratings increase. I told friends about it after I found it and they started to watch. But then it was gone so we were all disappointed.
My family loves this show on many levels. Please keep it.
I miss the show. It was very interesting. When ever you got a good show, then you take it off. Ugh
Please please keep this show on the air. Very interesting and some cold cases being solved is extremely valuable. Things come to mind like the Ramsey case for one. Let’s go!!!! This is a non violent very worthwhile program that gets this family’s vote!!!
Please renew, Genetic Detective, it’s a very interesting show. I have told my relatives about it and now they watch it also. I don’t feel you advertised at all about this new show. I never saw anything on tv about the show coming on. I actually stumbled on it through the guide. Please advertise more and I believe you will receive a lot more viewers !!!
I hope the Genetic Detective is renewed for another season. It is a very interesting show and much different than everything on tv right now.
Please renew! They never found Jack the Ripper, because they didn’t even use fingerprints back then. This offers the possibility of solving many new crimes.
