What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Rookie TV show stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O’Neil, Eric Winter, and Mekia Cox. As the story begins, John Nolan (Fillion) is a middle-aged divorced man from Pennsylvania. He owns a construction company but decides to give up his old life to pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. He graduates from the Police Academy and becomes the oldest rookie on the force. He works with Sergeant Wade Grey (Jones), Detective Angela Lopez (Diaz), training officers Nyla Harper (Cox) and Tim Bradford (Winter), and fellow rookie Lucy Chen (O’Neil).
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of The Rookie averaged a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.18 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 27% in the demo and down by 15% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled. Will ABC cancel or renew The Rookie for season five? This show’s a middle-of-the-road performer with so-so ratings but it’s co-produced by ABC Studios. want to see more of “The Rookie” really enjoy this. Please have another season. ABC has shows that are a complete waste of an hour of entertainment but NOT “The Rookie”. This show is one of my favorites and I am so disappointed that I won’t be able to watch any longer.
I for one think it needs at least 1 more season all too often a show is canceled when worse story line shows went on for years example the rookie is a good show with a decent story line but facing the chance of getting canceled while the show castle was a bad show and had a sucky story line and lasted for 7 years they say they go by viewers and ratings when in reality they have nothing to do with a show being canceled or renewed its the ceo for the station that airs the show if they… Read more »
I want Rookie back as soon as possible. I’ve also heard that there may be
a spin off from this one. I could live with that too.
The current season is HORRIBLE! It is just dumb. I have no idea how this show will survive.
Dude this show is wayyyyyyyy better then the other crap shows on TV right no. Love all the things about the Rookie, nathan fellon is awewesome!… we are always glued to each episode and we aren’t even police show fans…..this show needs to continue on to season 10 plus…so many sub plots still yet to be done….

We just found this show!….no clue how we never heard of it until 4 seasons have completed. We were happy to hear it hasn’t been canceled yet & hope it gets renewed.
I love The Rookie..My favorite series now. I hope that it is renewed. The fans are passionate about this series!!

I love this show and so does my mother in law and the rest of my family and my husband and he is not normally in to TV at all so we are big fans hope it’s renewed for sure !!!
