A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

Whiskey Cavalier was one of the best shows on TV. We watched it religiously and even got our now adult children to start watching it. Please find a home for season 2!
I do hope another network will pick it up & continue the show & put it on a little bit earlier for people that have to get up very early in the morning & doesn’t have a DVR?

I thought the show was highly entertaining! Drama, comedy, romance…it is so sad when good shows don’t make the cut due to such a saturated market. I truly hope a new home is found.

The show is expertly written, superbly acted, and is unique in its presentation. So of course cancel it! ABC is dumb! MASH, All in the Family, The Jefferson’s, Carol Burnett Show all would have been canceled using this formula for decision. Pretty stupid ABC!
