In the past couple of years, fans of The Young and the Restless didn’t have to worry that the series would be cancelled because, in June of 2017, the soap was renewed for three more seasons. This, season 47, is the last season on that renewal. Could this be the end of the show? Could CBS possibly cancel the highest-rated remaining soap opera? Will the CBS execs renew this soap again? Premiering on CBS on March 26th of 1973, The Young and the Restless follows the romances, hopes, and fears of the residents of Midwestern metropolis Genoa City. The large cast includes Peter Bergman, Eric Braeden, Sasha Calle, Sharon Case, Melissa Claire Egan, Daniel Goddard, Camryn Grimes, Amelia Heinle, Bryton James, Hunter King, Christian LeBlanc, Kate Linder, Michael Mealor, Joshua Morrow, Melody Thomas Scott, Jason Thompson, and Jordi Vilasuso.

For comparisons: The 2018-19 season of The Young and the Restless averaged a 0.62 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 4.07 million total viewers.

been watching Y&R for years and Get rid of conner he is annoying and its a stupid storyline, be serious like his parents would realize he is faking everything to keep them together
Love this series, i have been watching since the beginning and I hope it will continue forever, it has become part of my life.
The writers have to keep in mind that many of us have been watching this show for at least 40 years. The Tessa and Maria parts were in poor taste to most of us older viewers! Hope they write it out! I record the episodes so I can fast forward through their scenes.
this phyllis is horrible she is a terrible actress and doesnt fit the part she has to go an actress just starting her career could do a better job this phyllis is such a terrible actress that i fast forward the parts with her i dont know how she got on the show, did CBS decided to bring in a terrible actress
The storyline of Conner is boring, stupid and ridiculous and no divorced parents are going to live together and Conner is annoying also
I watch Y & R everyday the storyline needs to change a bit Theo and Lola spend so much time together they should be together just like Kyle and Summer should be together it should have stayed Kyle and Summer married and Billy needs to go back to Jabot
I love YnR. It is classy and clever. Really like the way they use older actors. The comment i have is why they haven’t used the song Séniorita. I think it would be a awesome romantic scene between Lola and Kyle. It could start with them dancing to the song and gradually become a sexy ,romantic Scene. Maybe slo motion. The music that is chosen for the scenes adds so much to the atmosphere. Need to use popular songs whenever their are parties etc. group events in stead of unfamiliar background music. Dear Bell-Phillips; I think the Young and the Restless should be cancelled. Michell Stafford who plays the new Phyllis is not as extrovert as Gina was.Also the new story lines are boring. But I do like Conner Newman. He is a cute boy.
I agree the storylines have been a bit boring but I do not want to see y&r canceled. Just need new writers. I liked the current Phyllis a few months back on GH as Nina. She was great in that role
I love Young and the restless. But, I am sick …of the story line about Conor. If you don’t dump it, you will lose a lot of viewers and be the next soap cancelled.
this will story needs to be rewritten where devon gets the money back because who leaves over 2 billion to there grandaughters husband and not a grandchild
Gloria , for years true fans have requested the return of Micheal Muhney. CBS failed to listen to the many fans of the show and now it is showing in it’s ratings. CBS you have lost many fans , we all loved and adoredMM. If you were yo bring him back you would see a spike in your ratings. But what am I a fan that loved this show. By by young and restless.

It would be nice if they put this soap up to an hour show. It seems the fans have been asking for this for awhile. Can someone please tell us why your sticking to a half hour show? I think the writers can do it. If you need help with storylines check the fan page they have plenty of ideas. Including me.

All I know, is that the writers have changed history and messed with the show GH so much nobody wants to watch anymore. This has dropped the ratings. It’s almost like they are trying to make it fail. Sorry, it’s TRUE. Sorry a lot of us agree. Will miss it.
