Bachelor in Paradise may be in serious trouble. According to Deadline, there may be no fourth season or future for the ABC TV show.
The reality dating show brings previous contestants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette together under one roof as they try to win a big cash prize — and maybe even finally find true love on television. Season four contestants include Raven Gates and Corinne Olympios from season 21 of The Bachelor, Amanda Stanton from season three of Bachelor in Paradise.
Earlier, we reported that Warner Bros. shut down production on season four of Bachelor in Paradise after “allegations of misconduct” arose. Now, ABC News is reporting that the “misconduct” in question involved contestant DeMario Jackson and a female contestant “reportedly engaging in a sex act while they were ‘both intoxicated’.”
However, the story may be more complicated. According to TMZ, the female contestant “may be alleging she was too drunk to consent to “look for love” and may be claiming producers should have protected her, and may have lawyer-ed up.”
Either way, Warner Bros. is conducting an internal investigation, the contestants have been sent home, and it seems likely that there will be no season four for Bachelor in Paradise. As of now, it’s unclear if ABC will cancel the series.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Bachelor in Paradise? Do you think ABC should cancel the TV show?
On Bachelor in Paradise – Bachelor and Bachelorette there can NEVER be any misconduct because all three shows from the very beginning was built on misconduct as well as mistrust to get folks interested in seeing how far the men and women would go to get the ratings up !!!!!!!! Bachelor in Paradise is just a raunchy drunken sleezy porno type show !!!!!!!!! Parents PLEASE DO NOT let your kids watch this type of TV !!!!!!!!!!! I know IF these so called gorgeous men and women are as portrayed in Bachelor in Paradise – Bachelor and Bachelorette are honestly like… Read more »
See if Bachelor in Paradise turned the show into Big Brother style with the cameras everywhere 24/7, then this incident would have never happened.
I have watched it. I watched the first bachelorette and that was enough for me.
I love the response below by Patricia Farrar. I literally LOL’d!!!!!!!!!
I’d love to see the entire Bachelor franchise relegated to the garbage can where it belongs.
I agree with Patricia Farrar) Any one who signs up for these types of show know what happens so why is she complaining?
I think all of the contestants and the show should not pay for the behavior of two. Producers knew Corrine was an issue prior due to her behavior on the previous season of The Bachelor. Although I understand the draw for drama in the show, it is my experience in management and marketing that sometimes it is best to avoid retaining people like that. There are good people on the show who deserve a chance.
The whole show was nothing but garbage anyway, same as that whole genre is. No one acts “normal”, knowing they’re being recorded. I feel sorry for those who feel they must watch such trash. I’d sooner watch paint dry myself. I HOPE THE SHOW IS CANCELLED!
Entertainment Tonight identified the female as Corrinne. Her intoxication and sexual misconduct shouldn’t surprise anyone. Producers should have known she would act up. DeMario is no better. Good grief!!!
Don’t really watch
I feel bad for the woman who wwas assulted, and agree that someone should have stepped in to stop it. My understanding is the woman was basically passed out in the hot tub, and the guy was holding her up to have sex with her. Then, he carries her out of the hot tub, and places her on the ground, where he tried to have oral sex with her, but FINALLY production stepped in to stop it. They should have done that sooner.
I’m sorry this happened, but glad that garbafe is finally off the air.
Disappointed
