It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
Ah man, we loved it. Sure wish someone would pick it up. It was entertaining and educational and we could all use a lot more of both.
I think the 18 to 49 demo is NOT what should be the determining factor for the continuation or cancellation of this show. Was any measure taken of the age 49 and over viewership? The majority of the cast themselves are certainly in the older demographic, and we (I and several of my friends are also in the same older demographic) loved this show! Advertisers worth their salt know that my age group has significant purchasing power. We should also have a voice!
Sad to see this show canceled. Please bring it back.
We love this show and watching these celebrities together was so much fun! Hope to see a season 3!!!
I am in shock to say the least! The cast is, in my opinion, are the best celebrities in their field! Not to mention they have made wonderful memories and changed lives for all who followed their careers. My husband and I were just curious if there would be another season. I looked it up and had to break the sad news to him. I’m so happy we taped the shows. I’ll miss this show very much.
My family and I loved this show!! It was hilarious and so much fun to watch. Why does EVERYTHING have to be geared to the 18-49 age group. There are a lot of people out here who watch TV who are over age 49!!
My husband and I watched every episode, and never laughed so hard…. these guys together were so much fun. What one didn’t think of, the other did. Jeff, this was an experience of a life time for you, so much knowledge between 4 major players in the business.
My whole family loved this show! So sad to see it canceled
My Grandkids and I loved it………Can’t some other family Station Pick it up…Was Fun TV for a change, good ole slapstick……..
I look forward to the next episode. And I know many of my patients look forward to it also. I can’t understand why they cancelled it?? It is so great, so funny!
Let’s hope another network will pick it up. I’m sure it was a costly show to produce, but it was so entertaining. I felt like I got to know all those guys as people, not just as actors and athletes.
Please bring better late than never back it’s a brilliant funny series I love it I laugh so much and there is not enough of that around
This was a one of a kind show. Absolutely hysterical! These guy had fabulous chemistry together and Jeff was just the right guy to egg these guys on even more. I really really hope someone picks this show up again. Very devastated it’s been cancelled.
