TV show description:
A drama series, the Fantasy Island TV show was created by Liz Craft and Sarah Fain and it’s based on the 1977-84 show of the same name.
The story is set at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. Delving into the “what if” questions — big and small — that keep us awake at night, each episode follows emotional and provocative stories. Different people arrive at the resort with dreams and desires and depart, enlightened and transformed through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.
Elena Roarke (Sanchez) is the steward of this mysterious island and is a descendant of the iconic Mr. Roarke. Elena set aside her own ambitions, and even the love of her life, to uphold her family’s legacy. Sophisticated, insightful and always charming, her calm exterior masks the challenges of the responsibilities she has assumed.
Assisting Elena is Ruby Okoro (Barnes), a young woman with an old soul who arrives on Fantasy Island with a terminal illness and is given a new lease on life there. There’s also pilot Javier (Rodriquez), the head of island transportation and a jack of all trades.

Sue, Jenna, and Brooklyn are the first, second, and third wives of Gavin, a charming doctor who’s made a fortune selling all-natural vitamins – and broken all of their hearts along the way. Now, they all share the same fantasy: they want Gavin to understand – to feel for himself – the pain he’s caused them all. Meanwhile, Roarke brings Ruby’s youngest daughter, MJ, to the Island to help Ruby remember who she is. And hopefully, keep her from disappearing into the ocean forever with Isla… as a mermaid.

I really hope they renew this series. I didn’t start a fan, but the series develops into what I believe is a worthy and timely successor to the original.
the characters are slow to develope and some of thier accents are really bad. so dull compared to the original! Knock off all the love crap. Not dramatic enough.

I love it, I would l love for this to stay on the air, and not be replaced buy these stupid tv shows they are doing now called reality tv.. How stupid. and the game shows they are coming up with, How stupid.. and ridiculous.
I have watched the first 2 episodes and am a bit ambivalent this series. I’ll watch the next 2 episodes and then decide whether or not to continue watching the show. That being said this is a character driven show with the guests developing more self awareness of not only themselves but of others as well through their fantasies. One thing which is quite apparent is the lack of chemistry between the 2 female leads. That may be due to the writing which is why I’ll give the show another 2 episodes.
