TV show description:
From Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who stars in the title role, the Fleabag TV show is based on Waller-Bridge’s one-woman play. Set in London, the British comedy-drama follows a grieving young woman nicknamed “Fleabag,” as she tries to find her place in the world.
Fleabag’s world includes the guys she dates and her sister Claire (Clifford). It also includes her closed-off widowed father (Paterson), who is now in a relationship with her godmother (Colman), much to Fleabag’s displeasure.
At turns raunchy, awkward, and poignant, the series centers on Fleabag’s life as a single woman, in the wake of the death of her best friend, Boo (Rainsford).
Series Finale:
Episode #12
As Godmother and Dad’s wedding approaches, the relationship between Fleabag and the Priest intensifies. Will Fleabag finally find the ending for which she has been looking?
First aired: May 17, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Fleabag TV series? Should this Amazon TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
I would’ve loved this series to continue. The characters were quirky but ultimately likeable. We need another couple seasons. This just feels too abrupt of an ending.
A TV show that stoops to titillate viewers by relying on a script that degrades a vulnerable woman and a priest is like a stand up comic that depends mainly on raunchy material.
Amazon can do better. So they need to drop “Fleabag” and prove that they can.
