One of Law & Order‘s key players is returning to NBC. Deadline reports Sam Waterston will appear in season 19 of Law & Order: SVU.
Waterston played prosecutor Jack McCoy on the original Law & Order for 16 seasons. He’ll reprise the role for SVU, where he joins regular cast members Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino, and Raul Esparza.
The new season of Law & Order: SVU premieres on NBC on September 27th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

I am BEYOND excited!!!! But since this guys plays Philip Stone’s dad I’m afraid he’s going to be another pain in the ass for Barba. I sure hope not! I’m also alittle concerned that SVU seems to be pulling out all the stops which I sure hope does not mean the end of SVU at the end of the 19th season. Sorry ,But jack mccoy is not Phillip Stones dad. The character played by Michael Moriaty, Ben Stone is his dad.
