MacGyver is getting closer to its final episode. The series, a reboot of the popular 1980s series of the same name, was cancelled by CBS earlier this month, and the series finale will air on April 30th. The network has now released details and photos for the farewell episode. The episode titled “Abduction + Memory + Time + Fireworks + Dispersal” will find Mac (Lucas Till) and Riley (Tristan Mays) in a tough situation.
CBS revealed the following about the series finale of MacGyver:
“When Mac and Riley go missing and wake up 24 hours later in a corn field with no memory of how they got there, they must unravel the mystery to find who took them, and how to get rid of the nanotrackers in their bodies, no matter the cost, on the series finale of MACGYVER, Friday, April 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

MacGyver is the only Friday night drama not returning next season. CBS renewed both Blue Bloods and Magnum PI yesterday. The network also renewed NCIS, Bull, and SWAT.

I want to see a sixth season of MacGyver. My granddaughter and I watch it every week. Don’t cancel keep it!
I haven’t enjoyed it at all season. I agree the mac/Riley mac/desi is ridiculous. It shouldn’t be going on at all. Let it go. I won’t be sorry. Thete shouldn’t be any office nonsense going on. I also agree that jack made the show. It’s time for something new.
I want to see MacGyver come back for a sixth season so it can crossover team up with sister series Magnum PI.

I love my Friday nights because that is when I tune in to Macgyver. I loved the original series and always watch this new one too. I was sad to hear that this may be their last episode coming up April 30! Please renew this for next year!
I am very very sad to see MacGyver go. Finally a family friendly and even some educational show that was a very important part of my family’s Friday night. CBS has made a horrible mistake!
Sad that Macgyver is cancelled, its my favorite show there is not alot
of shows worth watching. TV shows have really gone down hill for the last 10 years and it looks like this will continue.

Sorry to say that part of the issue behind this MAY be that it is filmed in Georgia…a state that is not exactly on many corporations “good” list. Based on the show’s premise and philosophy, continuing to film there would come across as hypocritical and relocating too costly. So they cancel it. At least that is my take on it. It will be missed.
Yes I’m sad to see macgyver go not renewing the series is a hugh mistake. Theres not that many things on that I would watch. Macgyver is my number 1 go to show. It’s so sad that cbs can not see the potentials this show has.

Canceling MacGyver is a huge mistake made by CBS. There is no reason MacGyver should have been canceled while the other shows (with lower views) were renewed. Please sign our Save MacGyver petition and help us save MacGyver for last last well-deserved season.

Please reconsider and keep the show on. Riley and Mac should end up together. They have chemistry to make a love interest work. The only shows worth watching on Friday nights are MacGyver and Magnum PI.
Yes, loved it in the 80’s, and love it now. The only changes you should make, are not having love interest, but more problem solving for MacGyver.
I couldn’t agree more. Enough with the Mac/Riley and Mac/Desi situation already. Let Mac have a new LI other than Riley or Desi along with alot more problem solving.
