MacGyver is getting closer to its final episode. The series, a reboot of the popular 1980s series of the same name, was cancelled by CBS earlier this month, and the series finale will air on April 30th. The network has now released details and photos for the farewell episode. The episode titled “Abduction + Memory + Time + Fireworks + Dispersal” will find Mac (Lucas Till) and Riley (Tristan Mays) in a tough situation.
CBS revealed the following about the series finale of MacGyver:
“When Mac and Riley go missing and wake up 24 hours later in a corn field with no memory of how they got there, they must unravel the mystery to find who took them, and how to get rid of the nanotrackers in their bodies, no matter the cost, on the series finale of MACGYVER, Friday, April 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

MacGyver is the only Friday night drama not returning next season. CBS renewed both Blue Bloods and Magnum PI yesterday. The network also renewed NCIS, Bull, and SWAT.

MacGyver shouldn’t be cancelled. Change days or something. There’s so much horrible program. And 2 of the hottest women, on tv, too. Silly.
I’m upset that these executives cancel shows that are very popular & creative every darned time I start to look forward to the next season.
This show could’ve gone on for a long time. It should really get picked up by another network, its really too good to lose forever.

I really like the show. Why cancel programs that families can watch w/o all the sex and swearing. This series is different and very enjoyable.

I love this program. It has a terrific plot, not to mention it is so educational. There is so much trash on tv and the one program that has depth to it is being canceled. I truly don’t understand why this happens. Perhaps it needs a better time slot. Please try to keep this show.
Don’t cancel MacGyver! You cancel quality shows with intricate plots, and keep renewing the reality garbage that appeals to viewers who are only interested in outrageously immature behavior and chaos. Surely this lawsuit could have been settled to everyone’s satisfaction, but as usual, greed wins out. My 13 year-old grandson and I (age 77) have watched every episode of every season multiple times together. Mac and company will be badly missed. CBS blew it on this one!
