NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.

Yes I loved the show and I was disappointed that was only 1 season. I would look at again if they out with a new season. The show was exciting and move taking on things happening by surprise.
I think a second season should be done, my mother and I have just finished watching it on Netflix, and we were very disappointed to discover it had been canceled.
NBC…Bring Back Taxi Brooklyn…Please!!!!
Love the show and will be so disappointed if another season is not picked up so we know how the first season ended. I hate these shows that leave us hanging with a season finale that has no closure and too many unanswered questions

I have been searching for Taxi Brooklyn since it went off the air. My mother and I enjoyed seeing if Cat would solve the case before the taxi driver. We loved the pairing. We watched on On-Demand until it was no longer available. We have been looking for advertisement for the new season to get started. If it’s no longer carried on NBC please let me know who is carrying it now, so we can continue to enjoy this show. Taxi Brooklyn had a very nice twist to solving crimes. Another good show gone, stopped watching any shows on cable, only Netflix.
Really would love to see Taxi Brooklyn continue. That was a major season finale and really need to continue a great show and not leave us hanging.
They never listen to the viewers, if that was the case One Tree hill would still be on the air. They like to keep stupit shows and cancel good ones. Thats why I dont like watching new shows because they pull you in and then cancel them.
great show but no faith nor patience i guess on behave of the network to bad never even heard of it until Netficks started airing it NBC HAS NO BODY BUT IT SELF TO BLAME poor marketing no true advertisement they must have to be related with A&E they drop the ones they should keep and keep the junk they should drop
