TV show description:
A courthouse drama that’s set in Los Angeles, the All Rise TV show follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of judges, prosecutors, public defenders, bailiffs, clerks, and cops. A diverse group, these professionals have one thing in common — they’re seeking justice for the citizens involved in a flawed legal process.
Judge Lola Carmichael (Missick) was recently appointed to the bench and was a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. Now that she’s a judge, Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what someone in that position can be.
It’s not an easy road, but thankfully, Lola has some friends and co-workers who can offer her counsel.
Mark Callan (Bethel) is Lola’s roguish best friend and colleague. He’s a successful deputy district attorney who now must adjust to the shifting boundaries in their personal and professional relationship.
Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger) is an influential and powerful figure who’s tasked with overseeing Lola’s transition into her new job.
And finally, there’s Sherri Kansky (Miles), Lola’s efficient and pragmatic judicial assistant. She’s a pro but isn’t thrilled at the prospect of “training” a rookie judge.
Others working in the courthouse include Emily Lopez (Camacho), an empathetic and blunt public defender who’s filled with fire and conviction; Luke Watkins (Brinson), a court bailiff who’s taking law classes at night; and Sara Castillo (Mendez), a court reporter who’s a reliable source of inside information and advice.
Episode #58 — Sometimes Truth is Stanger Than Fiction
Emily represents a client charged with murder, and a new presiding judge is announced. Also, Mark’s father makes a difficult decision to protect himself and his family. Later, Mark and Amy celebrate their wedding.
First aired: October 18, 2023.
Please bring it back! The storyline and characters were fresh, the direction and cast were excellent!
I think the show should be renewed.
It seems every 15-20 years you get a show that lives up to your expectations. This show has surpassed mine. Stumbled on it from stream service and I can’t get enough. Glad I could watch all episodes without waiting for the following week to see what happens next. The last episode with Stevie Wonder “As” playing was the icing on the cake. The show has introduced artists’ music I would never have thought to listen to. It’s a win win on the drama side and music. The show gives back more in so many ways. I hope CBS does the… Read more »
I LOVE this show and I would hate to see it end but it seems they’re ending a lot of good shows like “Tommy” and keeping a lot of crop like the ENDLESSLY STUPID AND POINTLESS fake “reality” TV shows instead of great shows with awesome writing staffs.
I think the season finale was outstanding. Incredibly well done. I hope it is renewed
Finale was awesome! It was down to the T of what everyone is dealing with. We are in lockdown across the United States and world. We are in this together. The show showed that and more
I find the episode tonite chaotic. Have enough of that already. I like the show but poor choice for this episode. Looking forward to next season.
Please renew please pretty please!! Thank You
my daughter and I so love watching this show, she just told me that she want’s to be a judge like the judge on the show and be a equal and fair person and help people like her. So this sitcom show’s kid’s that they can be a person with power and people who’s looking for justice.Don’t cancel the show
Love the show. Look forward to seeing it every week. It is uplifting while addressing the flaws in our legal system.
I need this show to go on, I like to keep playing the game where I guess in every episode if the victim/good guy will be from a minority and/or the bad guy will be white. I’m batting like .950. I also like how I can see like 10 episodes in the future because is so predictable.
I love this show. You lose a winner if you cancel it. Give it time, please!!!
Started watching this series a few weeks ago … all caught up !!! Love it !!! Love all the characters! Hope it returns this fall !!
I think the show is excellent in relevance, character variety, and current or modern day issue variety. It should definitely run for many many seasons
Renew all rise
