Though Bob’s Burgers hasn’t even premiered yet, FOX apparently has an inkling that they’re going to need more episodes of the animated series. According to Dateline, the network has ordered six additional scripts for Bob’s Burgers.
The original 13 episode order is still in various stages of production. The new script order will allow the series to remain in continuous production so that, if renewed for season two, it can return in the fall.
FOX has also ordered eight more scripts for American Dad, the animated series that’s been part of the network’s animated line-up since 2005. The show hasn’t been renewed for a seventh season yet and execs are keeping their options open since they have Bob’s Burgers in the wings and have also just ordered two new animated series, Allen Gregory and Napoleon Dynamite (voiced by the cast of the 2004 feature film).
