CBS is making another move ahead of the return of several of its popular 2020-21 shows. The series is shortening the season of several of its shows, including NCIS: Los Angeles, The Neighborhood, Blue Bloods, Bull, Magnum P.I., NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, and SEAL Team.
NCIS: Los Angeles and The Neighborhood will each air 18 episodes, and the rest have had their episode counts lowered to 16 episodes, per Deadline.
CBS is still in talks with outside studios about the number of installments for Mom, Young Sheldon, Bob Hearts Abishola, B Positive, All Rise, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and SWAT. The Unicorn had an initial 13-episode order and will stay at that number.
The pandemic shut down and shortened seasons last spring, so it is not a complete surprise that the same has happened this season, especially with delayed returns for CBS and the other networks.
What do you think? Are you surprised that CBS has shortened the seasons of NCIS, Blue Bloods, and more of its popular shows for the 2020-21 season?
Not Happy that the season is shortened, but really happy they have not been cancelled. Love them all
Blue bloods one
Of your best why cut season?
Not happy at all that my favorite shows are being shortened
We stopped watching the bias CBS network.
Blue Bloods is the best family show on TV…it should have more episodes, not less!!
Blue Bloods is a great show and most of your viewing is total crap.
I believe it was the decision of the producers of these shows to delay their seasons premieres due to coronavirus. I think it was a very responsible decision by all of them, in order to help slow the spread of the virus. It seems as if CBS is punishing each of these shows for their decisions. Which I think is a very childish response.
CBS ya’ll suck.
Please don’t cancel Blue Bloods. It is the best show on television. It’s the only reason I watch regular television. I usually watch my Amazon fire stick.
Please keep Bluebloods, its my favorite show
Updates, finally
I don’t know why I clicked on this, I watch all of these shows but we don’t get CBS anymore because our network is stupid and I can’t stream over the Internet because I live on the middle of nowhere so THANKS A LOT!!!
They should not cancel any of these shows they are all awesome. Maybe less episodes 12 -14 but not any shorter than that thanks
CBS has morons for programming. But that is no surprise.
That figures for CBS. First they get into Brandon McMillan’s show too much, so much so that he made the decision to stop Lucky Dog. CBS has all the shows that we have watched for years. Lucky Dog was one of the best and they lost that. Now they are ******** around with the other shows. Let’s see how long they put up with CBS’ crap. How many will quit their shows? Already talk of Mark Harmon quitting NCIS, and next Tom Selleck may do the same. Both shows will not be the same without those guys. Just like a… Read more »
You are so right. CBS will cancel it’s best and most watched shows and their ratings will have to be determined on morning TV shows such as LetMake A Deal and The Price Is Right. Well they ain’t gonna get it ! As we say here where I live.
Why would anyone chop 2 episodes off their most popular shows except for saving money? If anything get rid of your lesser shows altogether and show full seasons of the money makers! It’s hard to argue with success!
