Was your favorite CBS TV show just cancelled? Odds are? No. The Tiffany Network just issued early renewals to a slew of new and returning TV series and Blue Bloods topped the list. That’s right, fans. The Blue Bloods TV show has been renewed for an eighth season.
A CBS family and police procedural drama, Blue Bloods stars Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, Marisa Ramirez, Amy Carlson, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Sami Gayle, and Vanessa Ray.
The seventh season of Blue Bloods is averaging a 1.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.12 million viewers. Compared to season six, that’s down by 4% in the demo and down by 4% in terms of total viewers, so the renewal comes as no surprise.
Here’s the CBS press release:

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you plan to watch the eighth season on CBS?
Any entity that constantly wins over it’s competition usually ends up being hated by many in the long run. Examples are Marvel, The New England Patriots, etc – where massive amounts of people love the product and force the competition or haters to actually attack the product. This is CBS – they just destroy the other networks year after year – Of course Blue Bloods got renewed – that CBS Friday night line-up of Mac, 5-o and Blue Bloods is a juggernaut. Look I love Blue Bloods and at some point of course it will end – but the show… Read more »

I need to keep watching Blue Bloods for as long as possible. It’s a great show with an amazing cast. Please do not cancel.
I am in love with Blue Bloods!! If it gets cancelled ever I will be devastated. PLEASE KEEP IT GOING.
I LOVE Blue Bloods. I watch all the reruns and have the DVDs (Just ordered Season 7). Can almost say the dialogue with the cast! I’m ecstatic that it has been renewed for the 8th season!!
I have never been a series watcher but someone told us about Blue Bloods and my husband and I have binge watched the first 7 seasons. I’m having serious withdrawals. I. Love. This. Show.
Blue Bloods: #1 in my book! Excellent cast, writers, producers, directors….crew….everyone, in every department, top notch in their fields! Please stay on for season 8….and more! Very entertaining!

I love Blue Bloods I can’t believe they didn’t get an Emmy nomination
Love this show. Couldn’t watch before as my work hours prevented it. My husband and I are hooked! Keep it coming!
I will definitely be watching the next series so bring on series 8 and more
So I left a post with a lot of comments on why I think the show has dropped in ratings. What maybe didn’t come across is how much I “love” the Reagan family and this show. Even with all the things that’s I see that the producers have let slide, it’s still so much bette than what is out there…
I’ve watched every season of Blue Bloods. I went from feelings of pleasant surprise when I discovered the series, to feelings of “I’ll record it for watching later if I have time”. I’m happy for an eight season, hoping someone is catching on to why the series isn’t dog as strongly as it once was. Here are my recommendations: 1. Frank needs a romantic interest every now and then – but make it someone decent and worthy. And keep Frank wise, if a bit vulnerable. 2. Jamie and his partner, need to finally start that relationship the writers keep toying… Read more »
Hi Sandra, I’m with you…except a bit puzzled about how heavy-handed, GRITTY and accusatory these new Series 7 scripts appear to be, particularly aimed at police errors and Reagan weaknesses. It’s as though a whole new cadre of writers is in charge, imbued with a “mean streak” toward the human race in general, and the NYPD, and our beloved Reagan’s in particular. I miss the more gentile, ‘Boy Scout’ Jamie, and the more subdued inter-familial bickering. Now it’s almost like knock-down, drag-out brawls, and bad cop/bad cop.
I love “Blue Bloods!” I am a retired Court official and lawyer and am so enamored of this series. I love the family! I got the cookbook for Christmas! Please, please, let this series live!!!!!
I love watching blue blood and glad they renewal
