Did Sydney make the right choice in the first season of the Bluff City Law TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Bluff City Law is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the season one episodes of Bluff City Law here. *Status update below.
An NBC legal drama, the Bluff City Law TV series stars Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden, and Jayne Atkinson. Coming from a famous Memphis family that’s known for taking on injustice, a brilliant lawyer named Sydney Strait (McGee) used to work at her father Elijah’s celebrated law firm until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After barely speaking to Elijah (Smits) for years, Sydney is suddenly thrust back into the family fold when her philanthropist mother passes away unexpectedly. In the wake of the loss of his wife and in hopes of reconnecting with the daughter he loves, Elijah asks Sydney to rejoin his Civil Rights firm and take on a chemical company whose product may cause cancer. Despite her lingering resentment and distrust, she agrees because she knows that working alongside her father is her best hope at changing the world — as long as they can find a way to get along. No sooner has Sydney returned than she stumbles on a secret that Elijah has been keeping from her that may change everything.

I’m liking this show more and more, don’t cancel
Awesome show! Do not cancel NBC!!! From what I’m seeing the show has good ratings, so what’s your point NBC!?! The episodes are up to date as to what’s happening around us today. Show some support and give them another 1 or even 2 more seasons. There are so many new shows airing throughout the year and it’s hard for a person to keep up with them all. I have 2 receivers in 2 rooms recording, sometimes 2 shows at a time. Plus my husband does the same, so we share the one receiver. Networks should give a series, at… Read more »

I love the diversity in the show, big fan of Jimmy Smit
I love this show. Please do not cancel.
Great show! Believable acting; headline a and issues from our times. Only concern is that writers keep blaspheming God’s name under wraps.
I just started watching first eps what I’ve seen looks really good not at all what I was expecting done very well. Looking forward to continue watching -see where it goes
Don’t cancel bluff city law
I have watched all episodes through 11/4/19. Enjoying each and every episode. The characters are rich and interesting and I would love to see just where their personal and professional lives will go on this show. I’m hooked.
I am so disappointed to hear the network has considered cancelling Bluff City Law. This is one of the best written programs that has aired in many years. It addresses new and up-to-date issues in today’s world, in sensitive and well thought out ways. The cast draws you in with each scene, making you feel each emotion as if you were in the courtroom with them. It is my hopes they reconsider and keep a program that is actually worth watching on National Television.
Omg yes I totally agree with you 100 and 10% its such a geat show hopefully they DO NOT CANCEL IT.
I love this show! Please don’t cancel it!!!
The best show NBC has produced in years!! One of my favorite shows. What a shame if they cancel!
I’ll never understand how the networks can cancel a show after only a couple of shows. We’ve seen shows in the past get off to a rocky start only to take off and be a big hit. I feel this show could be one of those shows. The first show was a bit disjointed but I feel the next couple have been much better.
I hope NBC sees that like I do and decides to order more episodes. I think that might be a good shot in the arm they need to reach their potential. Let’s hope.
Leave this show on. Do not cancel. Love it
I can’t believe my eyes best new show to come along in ages don’t cancel this wonderful show with such topical meaningful stories and great acting….for what to plug in more gross reality shows?
