TV show description:
A fantasy comedy-drama from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved, self-centered, and materialistic.
He is just starting to wake up to the fact that his obsessions with status and possessions have not brought him any happiness. At his lowest moment, Kevin is confronted with an incredible mission: it is up to him to save the world.
While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin goes back home to Texas to stay with family. A widow, Amy (Swisher) is his twin sister, and the mother of a teenaged daughter, Reese (East). Their relationship has faded with time and distance, so Kevin doubts they can repair their connection.
There, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events — not the least of which is a meteorite crashing near the family home. He then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that 36 righteous souls are born into each generation. Their very existence protects the world, and he is the very last of his generation.
Humanity is on the precipice of a catastrophe. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Whether or not he wants to fulfill it, Kevin’s mission is to “power up” his soul. The only way to do so is by committing selfless acts of kindness.
Should he stay on the straight and narrow, Kevin will eventually be able to locate and anoint the next generation of righteous souls. Yvette, meanwhile, will protect and guide him, train and instruct him, and most of all, brook no insolence from him.
Series Finale:
Episode #16 — The Right Thing
Kevin struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin might be in jeopardy while helping a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes. Yvette makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones guest stars); and Amy receives an unexpected visit that changes everything.
First aired: March 6, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
I’m so sad 🙁 I LOVED this show!!! So clean and fun… great messages…. Netflix… please buy it so we can have MORE!
Another clean funny show the whole family can watch cancelled mid season another reason to turn off network TV and watch prime or Netflix. I would rather pay for shows I’ve already seen than watch the inappropriate nonsense dictated by executives who apparently don’t actually watch TV
I LOVED THIS SHOW and so did all of my friends and family.
What a disappointment. Stupid execs at ABC.
ABC will never have anything in their lineup that might have the belief of God in their show, just another group of left leaning losers. ABC, you’re fired!! #BoycottABC
Typical Hollywood story. Feel good show-with a great message and safe for the whole family. But no, not enough violence, sex, etc and Hollywood says goodbye. Good luck–We will miss the show and the cast.
Is there anyway that we can start a petition to ABC and I’m dead serious about this lol please let’s try atleast! If anybody has suggestions please say so thank you. You don’t know how happy it made me feel to come and watch this show just to get away from real life stuff. To see Jason Ritter play a character almost like his father did was amazing. For once a feel good show. I am dying to see what’s to come next and ABC is taking it away… So unfair. Please reconsider ABC, You will see how many people… Read more »

Such a feel good show. It seems television doesn’t want any positive message being put out there. I love the actors and they work together so well. I will miss this one. I will also miss all the really bad shows out there–because I will not be watching them.
Such a great show. Clean, funny, entertaining and wholesome! Can’t believe you cancelled it! Very disappointing. No wonder I spend more time watching Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. ABC you don’t have a clue what your viewers really want to see. You cancel the good ones!
This is a good show. There are hardly any shows on network tv left to watch. Very disappointed it was cancelled.
Wow I New it was to good to last. Feel good story with a hint of God. No wonder the geniuses at the network cancelled it. Guys and gals at ABC you continue to demonstrate how completely out of touch you are with your viewers. Maybe you should leave Manhattan for a couple of weeks and go find America.
SHAME ON YOU ABC—You have a great cast a wonderful story. something so different something the whole family can watch without the blood and gore like the other shows it tells such touching story with each episode. I am so disappointed in your network!
I can’t believe they canceled Kevin Probably Saves the World. My family loves this show. I guess since no one is going around killing and committing evil deeds no one watched. So sad. Show was one of the great ones.
This was a terrific show; funny, well-acted and written. Cannot believe it was cancelled. Please bring it back!!
I loved the show the whole family waited to see if there was a new episode coming. Why do these shows get cancelled and then replaced by crappy reality shows. It was a breath of fresh air. Whatever it is replaced by I will not watch. Give it a proper time slot and let is grow. ABC you are now cancelled.
