TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

The series should be kept going, I have always been a fan of comedy and science fiction, reminds me of Tim Allen’s movie Galaxy Quest more than Star Trek. I like it!!!

I fully agree. The Orville is a rich oasis in arid wasteland of reruns & pointless fillers.
Great and needs to be kept on. We need some new sci-fi tv shows and this show fills the void. Let it make Warp Speed….
Let’s it ride. Give it a second season so MacFarland can at least use up his friends list of stars, and perhaps by then, everyone else will want to be on it, too; and perhaps, by then, there will be more focus on the kind of comedy they want to pursue.
This show is great. I loved the first three episodes, I felt like it was in the spirit of Gene Roddenbury and Star Trek. Please don’t cancel it Fox, like Firefly!
They are so caught up in their social justice propaganda they’ve forgotten to write in any jokes. Shows that constantly shame and mock large portions of their audience are doomed to be canceled early on.
How are they mocking portions of their audience?
Who are YOU to say that ? A professional critic or a couch master with the hope of seeing another singing “square off ” with washed up celebrities ? The show is good with many laughs and story lines . Hints of the OLD Star Trek are great ! Sheesh !Get a life !

Really, what are your favorite shows?
We set it to record, and just had a chance to watch it. Both my wife and I loved it. As HUGH life long Trekies, as well as Star Wars fans, we believe ” The Orville ” has the potential to be elevated to the same greatness as Star Trek or Star Wars.

It was funny, but not quite as funny as I hoped. I will continue to watch and I hope it gets a little better. And, no, I can’t quite put my finger on what was lacking. It was definitely good, but I would give it a B right now.
This show need to be axed and cancel to some people that don’t know copy cat of space balls is only this deals with Star Trek. Lousy show.
I guess an older person couldn’t like a new show ! Go back to soap operas while the rest of us watch the show !

@Thomas – I do not know how old you are but wife & I both retired. “The Orville” is one of our favorite shows. We tried the “Star Trek: Discovery” & were very disappointed. The new Star Trek reminds me of “The League of Extraordinary Gentleman” — good ideas & actors but lousy writing & direction. How many times do you have to paint yourself into a corner before you realize someone needs to take a long term look at the plot arc?
I see youve made it a point, pappy, to bash this show over and over. too bad you dont spend more time liking things instead of hating over and over and over and over…..
