Although the clock is ticking, NBC still has not announced whether Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan’s Timeless is cancelled or renewed for season three. The Timeless fanbase, which often self-identifies online as #Clockblockers, has been campaigning hard for a season three renewal, despite the TV show’s low ratings in the second season. That season only happened thanks to the fans. When NBC cancelled Timeless, after its freshman outing, there was such an outcry that the network then reversed itself and renewed the series.
Today, knowing the fans feel as bloodied and battered as Wyatt (Matt Lanter), Lucy (Abigail Spencer), and Flynn (Goran Višnjić) look in the above photo, the writers acknowledged the long wait on their official Twitter account. They also made sure to thank fans for their hard push for a third season pick up. Check out their messages, below.
An NBC time-travel drama, Timeless also stars Malcolm Barrett, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit. As the Time Team, their mission is to prevent the destruction of our world as we know it. Susanna Thompson, Annie Wersching, and Michael Rady recur in season two as members of the nemesis organization, Rittenhouse.

UPDATE: We know it's frustrating to our fans to not have an answer yet re: #RenewTimeless. We've been led to believe a couple times that an answer was imminent only to have answer pushed. Unsure if that's good/bad. Just know we're fighting hard for #Timeless.

He said we fans need to do more than just watching the show and telling the network we like the show.
I am not sure what else we can do other then that.
Does he want us to fund the show ourselves.
If NBC won’t renew it, then it at least has to re-emerge on the SciFi Channel. That is probably a better fit for it anyway, especially if the best that NBC can do is just stick it out in oblivion on Sunday nights and then be shocked when the ratings are bad. It is simply a great show, even if the whole Rittenhouse plotline is more than a bit iffy. This show is a great show, with History, drama and adventure. It needs time to catch on, as it is a good family show, that encourages young people to love history
Yes, please renew Timeless!! Such a great series. The combination of history, drama, love and science is tremendous!! The writers do a terrific job keeping the actors in sync with their characters. Also, may I add, it is a good family show, maybe an earlier time slot would bring a larger audience.
I’m definitely hopeful for a third season of Timeless. There are very few good family series on the air anymore and we need more shows of this type.
NBC, please don’t put fans through this again. And if is renewed make sure you let everyone know the date, day and time it will be on. That was a big problem the 2nd season. I love this show.
I DVR everything. This show is one of the BEST and I’m really hoping NBC will bring it back.
As in many of the comments, we watch Timeless on our dish dvr due to our schedule. This is a great show and needs to be renewed..
Please don’t cancel this show. I know that they base decisions on how many people watch it live but there should be consideration for those of us who DVR the show. I love history and Timeless has such a great blend of historical facts and science fiction. Renew!!!!
My husband and I are in our 70’s. We have never missed a episode of Timeless! Every aspect of the show is excellent…the writers, actors, costumes, sets, and accurate historical events. Wonderful character development and laced with moments of humor and interesting twists or what ifs. It is an important show to preserve history for younger viewers, remind us older folks about what was and to learn about historical events that were overlooked in our history classes. Please renew for season 3. I don’t watch it live because I don’t have tv but I watch it on hulu every week and it is my favorite yet….

Timeless is one of those shows like lost that you just cant get enough of. Please renew it for at least season three.
