What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix sci-fi mystery, Travelers stars Eric McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, Reilly Dolman, Patrick Gilmore, J. Alex Brinson, Leah Cairns, and Jennifer Spence. The drama unfolds in a post-apocalyptic future, in which special operatives known as “travelers” go back in time to save humanity from destruction. Unlike much time-travel fiction, there is no time machine involved. Instead, a traveler transfers his or her consciousness into the body of “target” just prior to that person’s death, then uses the person’s identity as a cover, while carrying out secret missions.
As of February 1, 2019, Travelers has been cancelled, so there won’t be a fourth season. Could it return someday? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Travelers for season four. Flying blind, I think it will be renewed. Although the series started out as a co-production between Canada’s Showcase and Netflix, as of season three, it is solely a Netflix TV series. I would have expected them to announce this season as the third and final season if they were ready to end it. This is one of the best shows on TV. It should not be cancelled. Too many will want to know how the reset will affect the characters that we have followed during the three series that have been shown on Netflix.
This is one of the best shows on Netflix, only to be beat by “Black Mirror”. However, if they choose to not continue the series, I’ll understand. It’s not because the show is bad, but because it’d be a great way for it to end. So we’re either left with a sensible ending to a great show, or an awkward beginning for a season four. I’ve watched the three seasons of travelers in a week. Love it! Next series please! I’m excited to see where they take it. They can’t cancel it! It’s too good.
Of all the shows out there travelers NEEDS A season 4. Arguably one of the best sci fi series EVER! Smart, exciting, great cast, heart pounding moments and a story that actually makes sense and has continued to do so for three seasons. Season three is the BEST Season Three of ANY show out there. Usually by Season 3, the story gets a bit stale and boring. Travelers blows it out of the water in Season 3! SEASON 4 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE???
I would love to see this show continue. Am really sad to have lost David and Marci though.

My husband and I basically binge-watched three seasons and were quickly sucked in to the plot. We hope greater minds will prevail and decide to renew this excellent series.
Travelers is one of the best sci-fi series available. Season 3 was very well done and the story lines were mixed and paralleled very well done. Amanda Tapping did a great job directing, we love anything she does. Please, I vote for a Season 4, this “reboot ver 2” is a great idea and I think it will be incredible especially with many of the same characters.

Please keep this show going…I binged all 3 seasons in two days…I want more!!! I love it..
Just binged all of season 3 today! Would keep my Netflix subscription for just this show alone. Best written show still left. So much more that can be done with the concept. This is the kind of show that might save Netflix from itself. Or give us a reason to care. Ready for season 4 – 20!
One of the best sci-fi time travel concepts written, developed, and produced in a long time. The time continuum storytelling concept is difficult to write AND provide for logical explanations of all the fine details the time travel enigma entails. This series, the writing, the characters, the actors and actresses are EXCELLENT. Please be so kind to continue this fabulous story. Netflix, please do the right thing a renew this story for multiple seasons.
Definitely need a season 4! This show is too good and so intricately woven thru with characters and plot twists! Not to mention if they cancel before we get to see the future or who our characters were before they quantum leaped ( yup…had to tip my hat right quick)I will be pissed
