Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is still looking for a new home, but the cast has now been released from their contracts. Those contracts expired earlier this year, and they were not renewed due to the NBC cancellation. The musical drama follows Zoey (Jane Levy), a software developer who discovers that she can hear people’s innermost thoughts as songs in her head.
Deadline revealed the following about the possibility of the cancelled NBC series being renewed for a third season on a new outlet:
“Conversations are still ongoing, with various options to continue the story of Zoey Clarke explored — series, miniseries or a movie. While none is believed to be close to reality, if any progresses, Lionsgate would need to make new deals with some or all of the Season 2 regular cast, which included Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Andrew Leeds, Alice Lee, Michael Thomas Grant, Kapil Talwalkar and Mary Steenburgen.”
It is not known where the series would land for a new home – if it does at all.

Perhaps the show is too expensive to produce? Because there’s a lot of talent among the cast, and music producers, choreographers.

I hope zoey finds a new home I love this show it’s got everything it’s cheery it’s so great! I love all the music I love the concept of how music effects every aspect of our life! Please keep it going! Plus it’s filmed in San Francisco yay!!
Bring it back please quickly along with Galavant. Both programmes were like a breath of fresh air within the otherwise stale repetitive offerings on show.
Susan C is on to something. CW has impressed me with their offerings these last couple of years, taking chances with series that are not part of the Arrowverse. Devils, Coroner, Outpost, Republic of Sarah, even Trickster. They give them time to marinate with viewers, something ABC and NBC could learn from. Zoey would be a great addition to CW.

Why, why,, why do they always let go of the “feel good” shows? Zoeys is one of the best shows on air. I always looked forward to it.
Please renew Zoey!!! It is the most creative, imaginative show on TV!!! Please not another CSI (CSI – East McKeesport ???) or Doctor show.
Please find a home for this wonderful show! We need MORE uplifting, entertaining programs like this! More singing, dancing, and spending time with the characters we’ve grown to care about and love. We definitely don’t need anymore procedurals, medical or reality programs. Save Zoey!!
Please let this show come back its my family’s favorite to watch, plus my liitle 5 year old brother loves dancing to the songs while they play through out the show.

Zoey was the highlight of my week. It’s light and it’s fun and it’s a feel good show. We don’t have enough of these and this one is AMAZING. PLEASE BRING ZOEY BACK
