Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is still looking for a new home, but the cast has now been released from their contracts. Those contracts expired earlier this year, and they were not renewed due to the NBC cancellation. The musical drama follows Zoey (Jane Levy), a software developer who discovers that she can hear people’s innermost thoughts as songs in her head.
Deadline revealed the following about the possibility of the cancelled NBC series being renewed for a third season on a new outlet:
“Conversations are still ongoing, with various options to continue the story of Zoey Clarke explored — series, miniseries or a movie. While none is believed to be close to reality, if any progresses, Lionsgate would need to make new deals with some or all of the Season 2 regular cast, which included Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Andrew Leeds, Alice Lee, Michael Thomas Grant, Kapil Talwalkar and Mary Steenburgen.”
It is not known where the series would land for a new home – if it does at all.

Yes! It’s the only thing on network tv that I watched. It’s fun fanciful and family oriented.
I fell in love with this show. I watched marathon they had of both seasons and I kind you not I cried twelve times and laughed even more. This show dealt with so much I wasn’t even expecting and I was in such a low place and felt understood comforted and it was also just so upliftinga and hopeful. I hope some network gives this show a chance ( it’s well deserved ).

Please bring Zoe back! It’s was so uplifting and my boyfriend and I enjoyed watching together every Sunday, we stopped everything to watch it.

Being this show was a one of a kind, it should definitely continue. Not many shows can pull off a talented cast of singers and dancers like Zoey’s does, and still provide a touching and comical plot (Glee). We all get to watch shows with fabulous actors, however, getting to see other talents as well is certainly refreshing!
This deserves another season ! The creativity is amazing! The storytelling is beyond outstanding! Aren’t too many shows that make me weep! Someone with brains …. Pick this UP!
