How magical do you find Mel, Maggie, and Macy during the first season of the Charmed TV show on The CW? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Charmed is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Charmed season one episodes. **Status update below.
A CW fantasy drama, Charmed stars Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, Ser’Darius Blai, Ellen Tamaki, and Rupert Evans. The supernatural series centers on three sisters who discovery they have special abilities in the wake of their mother’s murder. Now the “Charmed Ones” must harness “The Power of Three” to protect humanity from the demons that prowl the earth.

I had high expectations, but I’m really disappointed. I’ve watched the first 6 episodes, to make sure I have given it a chance, and I’m done. This doesn’t even compare to the OG.
I think if they were going to redo CHARMED then they should have at least tried to use the old coast not the new 1 they have n they should have tried alil harder to make it like the old 1 ..idk what this show is but it sucks I want the old CHARMED back
I personally loved it. This is from a perspective that has never seen the original series ( I plan on starting it soon) so I’m really unbiased. I see all these negative reviews about how it’s not as good as the original series, but considering this is a completely different cast, I really don’t know what you’d expect. I can see that it’s kinda similar to the original show, but it would carry none of the original things most people expect to see as this is basically a different show. i gave this one last chance and im done the original was great but this reboot is horrible it gets worse every week not better like i thought it would the acting is terrible
At first I was disappointed with this version of charmed, BUT after you get over that it is not a remake and isn’t meant to follow the original story line. It is good!! I love it! I don’t have tv but I bought the season pass on iTunes and watch it every week! Just remember it isn’t meant to be a remake, it is a completely new show just same name.
The original actors wanted nothing to do with the reboot .. for many years fought it and I believe it would of been very hard to carry on with the old story line without those actors.. I agree some of the new stuff makes it weird.. like no orbing or the elders being witches.. but I love charmed enough to give it a fair shot with a new storyline .. at least the graphics is much better this time around.. This reboot shouldn’t be renewed for a second season. It has none of the charm and magic of the original Charmed 1998 TV series. Frankly, the reboot is awful. Would have preferred a series with the children of the Halliwell sisters. Not this poorly written wannabe.
Episode 4, young woman must be saved at risk of the whole world but innocent man can be killed and framed as serial killer… Well that’s a good moral standard to teach young people
That was so disturbing that they allowed to frame an innocent guy as a psychopath murderer. And the elders are like super witches ? What good is that ? They should have called the cleaners to whips his memory and let the guy be. I don’t like that the episodes are not demon of the week and save the day. They had zombie girl in the Halloween episode and in this one. And vanquish demons with sugar salt or some chemical is a joke. They should read spells and mix proper potions the good ol way.
In the real world, young people arent witches. Its a tv show for entertainment.
This show is awful. The acting, the rushed storyline, the demon dog, the overly political issues being pushed on viewers. What really gets me, is that the creators of this show wanted to recreate the tv show but yet they had the audacity to bring in Melinda Warren’s name in the book of shadows. Blasphemy to the fans of the original show. Watching the scene with the whitelighter was painfully awkward and I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to laugh or not. It’s actually good once you give it a chance and not compare it to the original, I get that it’s a reboot but it’s a completely different cast and plot line. If you just sit back and enjoy it, you might actually like it.
Horrible reboot! Dont like it ….they didnt listen to the fans and what we wanted!!!
this is just so wrong so bad….
Charmed is so amazing! I wish this show would last forever. It has magic, suspense, thriller, romance, awesome sisterly bond. It’s out of this world It deserves to have many seasons. There’s nothing better than CHARMED.
Better if they tried to continue from where there children took over to continue the fight against evil as it was left off as one day the book of shadows would be their book to continue as the charm ones very disappointed with the remake of this. If they were going to try to remake it they should have did there homework and did it right. Maybe they can start over from the beginning. And do justice to the original charmed series. That would be something to wait for.
It is clear that a lot of people are angry that the White characters from the original series are now replaced by non-White ladies. They are making up bogus reviews due to racism. I read their racist and hateful comments online all the time.
This has nothing to do with racism… It’s just plain bad, never mind black or white actors – i don’t really blame the actors (if the script is bad-what can they do, really) They could just as well have made it 1-2 generations later with the same mixed race actors, for all I care. My problem is that there’s no (REAL) connection with the original story AND that it’s just plain AWFUL (from the storyline to even the orbing and so forth)! => I’d rather have a little screwed up timeline (ie 1-3 generations past after only 13 yrs later… Read more »
Well you have to understand that this is a completely different cast, you really can’t expect the same plot line. The rest of the episodes actually get better, you just have to remember that it’s a reboot, not a sequel
Here in lies the problem fans seem to have.. ‘reboot’ why not a sequel ?
Producers still could have used a young diverse cast in a continuation version of the show. Instead they crapped all over the original series, and for what a mediocre and lazy ‘reboot’ ?

Wow! So disappointed. I loved charmed. Was hoping this would be as good. It’s not. This is really terrible. Bad acting, bad script, trying to combine supernatural with charmed = Fail there are moments we were laughing… At a place the wasn’t supposed to be funny. Sigh…I deleted it from my TiVo
its not cancelled. its a great REBOOT. Like a start over. None of the originals wanted anything to do with this….. because they are all fighting with one another
I agree it should have picked up from where it ended. They should have attempted to reboot the show with one original cast member its not the same and should called something other than charmed.

there was only one good thing about Charmed reboot that was Sarah Jeffery, However the show was bad you cant redo a supernatural show that was on for years and was awesome and expect a reboot to do good recycling good shows, seriously whats next trying a reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel get new ideas and stop remaking great shows because they end up being idiotic but makes they originals look even better if thats possible
Please get over it. Charmed had good ratings and good viewers and it has a lot of potential as a show. I think it’s great and I am not trying to compare it to the other show. I will always love the original series but the reboot’s arrival was inevitable and I accept that.
Are you kidding, putting aside that its a reboot that was horrid. The only good thing was the SFX.
Hate to break it to you but Buffy is in pre-production for a reboot/continuation.
But it’ll be about a next gen slayer so yer continuation not a replacement show like the new “Charmed”
