Dexter fans should not lose hope! They may still see a ninth season of the Showtime series. That was made clear by the man in charge of the network and the star of the series, Michael C. Hall, over the weekend at the TCA’s.
Per an Inquisitr report, Hall said the following about the future of the series:
“I don’t think it’s quite time. But it’s a conversation that continues at its own pace.”
Per TV Insider, David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc., also said that the possibility of the series returning is still being discussed.

Yes please bring another season of Dexter. I was sad the show ended. (Actually Cried lol)
Dexter simply needs a 9th season. Even if it means taking place “years” later so the actors’ age difference/absence can make more sense. We need to know more of what his future entails because the season 8 finale was not okay. I am not okay. Just do it!
If they can come up with a compelling storyline, and have great writers who will execute, they should absolutely bring Dexter back for a 9th season.
Yes, that was a terrible ending. Would like to see what the next chapter brings. There are too many unanswered questions about his future. Would also love to know why Dexter dropped Deb’s body into the ocean. It seemed so wrong, considering that’s where he dumps his victims bodies. She should have been given a proper burial with all of Miami Metro by her side saying goodbye.
Dexter definitnely merits another season or more. The ending, though disappointing and tragic, leaves room for Dexter to come back from the darkness to his son and love. After all, during the last victim, he did experience not desiring to kill and a deep desire for his new life with Hanna and Harrison. He learns to deal with his dark passenger.
Yes! We want another season of Dexter. Great show and so exciting!
