TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a 10th season?

Please please remove the annoying laugh track !!!’ I feel the extreme need stop watching due to the unbelievable annoying laugh track that is totally unneeded !!!!!!!!!’m
It’s a live audience
So glad Last Man Standing will be returning in October. Along with Blue Bloods, this is a favorite of ours. We even record it to avoid any chance of missing it! Love Tim Allen & his whole cast. Great writers.
One of the best sitcoms on TV Reminds me of All in the Family in the 1970s. Better than the silly Modern Family. The Network should do a bit more promo.
If it gets cancelled, it’s not because the quality but rather not fitting in the liberal narrative of Hollywood.
watched it in the UK think its one of the best sitcoms i have seen very funny better than modern family for me now
@Phi Yea thats why 4X as many ppl watch Modern Family as watch this garbage Last Man Standing… Tim Allen lost his talent by doing this 4th grader garbage show.
Last Man Standing is one of THE best sit coms on TV…please do not cancel.
I LOVE Tim Allen…and watched the episode that aired Friday night January 23, 2015. The story line appeared to be very “politically” motivated with an episode downplaying the dangers of vaccines. It was alarming to see that the script tried to minimize the dangers and side effects of vaccines by making comedic jabs at all intelligent and informed people who read the current research,( which the Media and Big Pharma ignore because their profits would be seriously affected,)and I believe this is a very irresponsible thing for a Network show to do! The parents in this episode are shocked that… Read more »
Vaccines are never a LIVE virus, get your facts straight.
Hmm, none of them are modified live?
The flu vaccine is not a dead virus. It is a weakened virus. Live viruses have been found in many vaccines. Get your facts straight!
This last episode was so great. To see the comparison of Tim the tool mans family to his Last man standing family was hilarious. I love this show. It is one of the few that is not sexually motivated left on television. I don’t mind the politics as they are just comedy and show how alike and different families are. Great actors, Great writers, thanks for keeping the show.
Quit watching after the first season. Too many stinking king democrats on the show.
Please remove the laugh track from the show. I’m not stupid and know when to laugh and don’t have to be prompted by a laugh track. It is very intrusive and makes me turn off the show, which I like very much, otherwise. PLEASE remove the laugh track.
Thanks.

It’s recorded in front of a live studio audience, and a sitcom staple.
Thank you for informing me and correcting me. I don’t miss a show.
What happened here? Hasn’t been on forever, and never had a season finale. At least, I don’t think it did!
It aired at the end of April.
Brilliant writing and terrific acting – Best ensemble on TV:Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Alexandra Krosney, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Hector Elizondo, and Christoph Sanders. Love them all. Even better than Modern Family which we never miss. However, Allen would be very wise to make sure there is always a rebuttabl to his clever anti-Obama, Democrat Liberal comments. Don’t mind that Allen’s personal and TV life political affiliation are the same – no one delivers one-liners better – but he’s got to keep his dialogue balanced. Hope the show goes on forever – Travis, daughters, Elizondo and the wonderful Sanders as… Read more »
Why, every other show on TV is blatantly Liberal and they don’t balance it out. Your bias is showing!
Too bad. I was just changing channels and heard the most distasteful dialogue that made me realize that your writers are obviously ultra conservative probably male chauvinistic lost causes. The subject matter was Hilary Clinton and it went something like this: “You realize sometimes in raising children it takes a village, well to satisfy Bill apparently it takes a village too.” What? Like serial cheating is because of lack of satisfaction from the partner? Get real and get a clue guys. Most serial cheaters it is not about SEX. Urgh. I hope they cancel your a**. Get with 2014. No… Read more »
Unlike your typical Liberal crap shows! Free speech J Monroe, it’s means people YOU don’t agree with can have a voice too.
LIBERALS are the most non-liberal people when they don’t agree with you.
Last man standing is the funniest show I watch – I don’t go much for sit-coms but this show is so right on with the conversations among family. It keeps me smiling the entire show, I can so relate. Please keep on the air next season. I really look for to the new shows.
I love the show – love Tim Allen – please don’t cancel! If you cancel we’ll know its for political reasons!
what is with people today?…the last man standing is a great show…the humor is so funny and whats wrong with a show that has no violence and nasty sex comments like that dumb show 2 and half men. this show always makes my husband and i laugh out loud. if you need to kill a show there are others to choose such as malibu country, 2 broke girls, 2 and half men, all yuck!!…this is just my opinion but i know others who feel the same …i say f*** the ratings …thanks for listening.
