What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Paramount+ subscription service, the SEAL Team TV show stars David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, and Toni Trucks. The military action-adventure series centers on an exclusive Navy SEAL unit as they train for, plan, and risk their very lives to carry out perilous missions for the sake and honor of their country. Fierce and focused Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) leads the Tier One team. Despite the hardship it causes them and their families, this SEAL team is ready, willing, and able to embark upon secret missions at the drop of a hat. Team members include Jason’s trusted confidant, Ray Perry (Brown Jr.); loyal yet self-destructive Sonny Quinn (Buckley); and young Clay Spenser (Thieriot), a multilingual and second-generation SEAL. No-nonsense DEVGRU Intelligence Officer Lisa Davis (Trucks) is assigned primarily to Bravo Team.
Season Five Ratings
On CBS during the 2021-22 season, the first four episodes of the fifth season of SEAL Team averaged a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 19% in the demo and down by 12% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM).
On CBS during the 2023-24 season, the remaining episodes of the fifth season of SEAL Team averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.55 million viewers. Compared to season four, (which aired back in 2020 and 2021), that’s down by 72% in the demo and down by 60% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM).
While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. Find out how SEAL Team stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

Telly’s Take
SEAL Team drew low ratings in its fourth and final season on CBS and my understanding is that it was set to be cancelled. Instead, the execs renewed SEAL Team as an exclusive on Paramount+. It performed well enough on the streamer to be renewed for two more years. Season seven is the end. I don’t expect CBS to keep airing the series but, you never know. My Husband and I really enjoyed watching Seal Team, really liked their Actors. But we have never wanted to pay to watch TV in 44 years. Guess that must be why they moved it to Paramount Strwaming.

I’m mad they made you pay for it. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Very impressed actual seals help with production. I’m glad it renewed for a sixth season!! But I have found paramount + moves very slow. It takes forever to get it to play while searching other shows or movies. I watch that one show only. I have to pay a lot to watch one show. I don’t have the patience to search this slow site
I remain hopeful that seal team get will get back to its old habit of providing a great show. Season five was relying on existing viewership while providing substandard/minimal episodes in my opinion. Let’s get back to where it started. Thank you
We love watching seal team 6 and look forward every week. We sure hope the show will continue in 2022 and beyond.
I have been a loyal seal tea fan and moving to streaming only really discouraged me to pay more to continue with the show. I am already paying a lot for cable and not having it. It’s a shame to just cancel out a lot of viewers, surely it will hurt viewership. I guess that’s how they blow out a great show to replace it with crap.
I always watched Seal Team. Now that it is on Paramount + makes it hardeer since there are so many commercials. I used to DVR the series so I could skip the commercials. It is hard to understand why when you pay for a streaming service they force you to watch stupid commercials. I never buy anything I see on a commercial.
Please bring back SEAL Team for a couple more seasons. I grew up on the Base in S. CA. Watched the SEALS from afar. This show brings back the imagination I had as a kid, always wondering what they were up to, and where they were headed once they left S. CA.
